GIFTED
The guys over at LearnLanguages24.com gifted me a free lesson to try out their learn a language service, which is something at that point I was doing but with youtube videos so I said yeah as am sure this way would be much better.
What Language?
LearnLanguages24 do many many languages so am sure you will find one that you have always wanted to learn, but for me it was Romanian as I would like to be able to speak to my future in-laws better than just “hi” “thanks” and “how are you?”.
Logging In
This is the dashboard, yup there is a lot of text on here but for me all I did was just click “Start Daily Tasks” and just let the system decide what is best for me.
You can select something else, but I wanted to jump right in and see how this application thought was the best for me.
The Structure
Once I clicked the daily task link, I was presented with this screen.
As you can see I am only a little into the course, but I wanted to try it for a few weeks before I gave you my honest review….anyway getting back to this screen.
Here is where you can set how long you would like to learn for that day, for me I did 30mins in the morning then 30mins in the afternoon.

Most of the lessons…so far look like the two photos above….this could change but I am still at the start of my course 🙂
With the left photo, you see the english word and then select the correct answer that you have heard in the previous parts.
The right photo, you see the english and you say out loud the correct answer in the language you are studying then click the blue eye to see the correct answer. Then you are presented with a red cross or a tick which if you didn’t get it right you click the X and it will be repeated in the coming lesson(s).
This for me was very easy to navigate, and a good way to learn.
Do look at the above photo again, it wants you to HEAR the audio again, SAY it three times and also WRITE it!! this is a great technique to help learn and remember.

For me as I said above I have tried this daily for now close to 3 weeks, I am not the fastest at learning plus this is a difficult language to learn.
I have managed to be able to know a good amount of words by seeing them, or hearing them but yet to be able to speak them…..I am sure this will come with more practice and time.
I am going to keep doing this and see how I get on, I am not setting a target that by x month I want to be fluent no thats not a good attitude, I will see how I get on and learn what I learn at my pace.
