No12 Hotel & Bistro (North Berwick) 2022 : Review

Todays Visit

Yip back again but this visit was with my parents, my dad had never been to North Berwick so it was my turn to show him around and then we all went for a late lunch.

Today inside was very busy, so they had a garden area which is where we sat and again it was just as nice as it was a dry day.

The Food

On my last visit, I had the Nachos so I wanted to try something different.

Tex Mex – £12.95
Chicken breast fried in breadcrumbs topped with grilled cheese, jalapenos and spicy chipotle mayo in a toasted brioche bun. Serviced with homemade slaw and fries.

On arrival, I liked the presentation and I was very hungry so I couldn’t wait to take a big bite.

I took a bite, then another…hmm I got the kick from the Jalapenos but the flavour overall was just ok.

Don’t get me wrong it was nice but not much flavour to it, maybe a stronger cheese or a spicy chicken burger would have lifted this up.

The chips were so good! they didn’t need salt and had a subtle but nice crispness to them…I could have just had a big bowl of these.

Visit Overall

I am happy I found a new place to eat, and I will be visiting again as I saw a few other dishes I want to try.

Just like last time service was very good, and I had a nice relaxing late lunch.

The Food

I had no idea what to order but the Nachos stood out for me.

Nachos – £8.95
Tortilla chips topped with melted cheese, jalapeños, salsa, guacamole and sour cream.

On arrival these looked good, and it was a good sized portion (from the light bites menu)

The nachos were nice, and the cheese etc all as one bite was very good.

I really enjoyed these today and would easily have them again.

Chilli Grill Takeaway (Castlemilk, Glasgow) 2022 : Review

19 Dougrie Drive
Glasgow, G45 9AD

The Order

You may have seen I have ordered a takeaway or two from here before, but it had been a while and I knew I wanted to go back so I did just that.

Loaded Naan

I have had this before and really love it, so I had to get it again….I promise next time I will try other items but come on…how good does this look!

Just like last time it was packed with flavour and really moreish…I enjoyed every bite.

The pakora’s were also perfectly cooked and had a great flavour. I am not normally a fan of mushroom pakora but I really enjoyed these.

Overall this is a solid win! check it out and let me know what you thought.

Chicken Tikka Nachos £7.00
with tandoori Chicken Tikka, Jalapenoes, cheese & salsa

I had a wee craving for some nachos, and then I spotted the Tikka ones and thought hmmm I have to try these.

On opening the container these looked so so good! and I couldn’t wait to dig right in.

I took a big bite, then another, and another mmmm I loved this!

The nachos were really tasty and a little salty but that worked really well with the cheese and chicken etc

I will be having this again on my next visit.
