** UPDATE : At the time of posting this, the Glasgow branch has just closed which is a BIG SHAME to as the food, milkshakes and staff were all really good. I loved the milkshakes, I really hope they re-open as there are a few burger places near and they are no way as good as here was!!!!

I have visited Byron Burgers a good few times now since it opened, and every time I have never been disappointed in any way.

More and more recently I have seen some Facebook Ads for a new Christmas Cheesy burger, and thought I like cheese, I like burgers so I need to visit and see what its like.

The Food :

Today I decided to try two dishes, these were small ones.

Cheesemas Feast £16.95 (Burger + Side + Drink)
6oz hamburger, Barber’s cheddar, Barber’s Red Leicester, Byron cheese, crispy Grana Padano, red onion, smoked tomato ketchup, Grana Padano aioli and a jug of Byron cheese sauce

Lets start with the burger..

On arrival this looked good, and I liked how there was even more cheese in the little pot next to it.

I just went for it and poured the extra cheese on top, the smell and look was really good so I couldn’t wait to dig right in.

Firstly as soon as I picked this up I knew this was going to be one messy burger, but I didn’t care as it was very very good!!! and very messy.

The crisp Grana Padano was really nice and I could have had more of that.

Overall this was amazing and I hope they keep it on the menu, or if not have something similar to this as its really good and the cost is very good value for money.

Bacon Cheese Fries

So I opted to have even more cheese and went for the Cheese Fries.

What can you say about fries with cheese and bacon apart from these were good 🙂 mmmm

Chocolate Milkshake (plus baileys shot)

IMG_4068

I LOVE the chocolate milkshakes here so couldn’t wait to order the chocolate one again, but I decided to try the one with baileys shot to see what its like.

It was ok with the shot, the chocolate milkshake on its own is much better and I have to say is the best I have ever had!!!!

My return visit to Byron was a good one and a very very very cheese packed and filling visit.

Go try this before they stop it and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The West End of Glasgow is slowly becoming like a second home for me, and I have passed here many times thinking hmmm

Today was a very nice and sunny day, and I thought I need some Ice Cream to help cool me down and get me in the summer mood.

IMG_8255.jpg

This has a very Italian cafe feel to it, and it was very busy. Lucky today I wanted to sit inside and there were a few tables free, as if we wanted to take away we would have had a very long wait as there were loads after Ice Cream.

The Food :

Toffee Fudge Ice Cream

IMG_8244.jpg

I love Italian Ice Cream and tend to have loads when I go to Italy, as it always tastes better then the stuff you get over here so I was really looking forward to trying this.

On arrival this looked so good, so a quick photo and I dug right in.

This was amazing!!! I loved every mouthful, and could have easily had 2 or more dishes of this. This was nice and creamy, and very tasty.

I forgot to take a note of the cost for this, but it wasn’t expensive.

Belgian Chocolate Milkshake £3.95

IMG_8254

I thought lets go all out and be a big kid today with Ice Cream and a Milkshake.

I love chocolate so this was a must to try.

This was a very good milkshake, and its probably in my top 2 in Glasgow for milkshakes (1st being Byron Burgers)

The flavour was spot on and the consistency was perfect.

Smoke BBQ (Glasgow) : Review

Location

Smoke BBQ

Glasgow G2 1RW

Website

smokebbq.co.uk/glasgow

Visit Date : 17 April 2017

I had been to Smoke BBQ long ago, and was a little disappointed so it was time to give it a second shot. The reason I was disappointed was, what I wanted to order they didn’t have left so I had to try something else.

Just like the last time we were shown to the table, and given some popcorn to snack on while we waited.

IMG_6968.jpg

This is a funky idea, and the popcorn was nice shame they only brought one little one to share between two.
