The guys at Social and Cocktail 2 Go contacted me and asked if I would like to try their new cocktails that have just been released. I have had their cocktails before and loved them, so I said yeah and we set a date for delivery.

The Cocktails

The guys have added some new cocktails to their menu for 2021 and I got a chance to try some.

Watermelon Daiquiri

I started with the watermelon one, as I am not a massive watermelon fan.

I was very surprised by this, the flavour was actually nice and I did finish one.

If your a watermelon fan then you will definitely love this!!

French Daiquiri

The flavour of this was very very nice, as the raspberry flavour was strong but not overpowering.

These were very easy to drink, and I loved every sip.

Highly recommend!

Skittles Daiquiri

Now this is the one I was looking forward to trying, due to the word “Skittles”

Ohhh this was very nice, it was sweet but not too sweet.

I enjoyed this one a lot, and would order this one again.

Overall

I HIGHLY recommend these guys, if you love cocktails and want a great night on your own or with friends with great cocktails you NEED to check them out.

I am adding these guys to my top spots page for takeaway as its another flawless delivery.

We set a date and time, and their service was spot on and as you will see from the photos they all come pre-made, chilled and ready for your enjoyment.

The Cocktails

The guys have added some new cocktails to their menu for 2021 and I got a chance to try some.

Pink Gin Venom

This is a new 2021 cocktail, and I am glad I got the chance to try it.

Firstly the name is very interesting as Venom sounds like it could be strong and evil, but pink gin is very nice and smooth so I didn’t know how this would taste.

WOW, the flavors of this cocktail were amazing!!!!! the strawberry, raspberry, and pink gin, and any other ingredient they added to it were perfect!

This was not an evil or strong cocktail its was perfection and very smooth and easy to drink.

The Pornstar Martini used to be my number 1 cocktail, this has now replaced it! I highly recommend you order this!!!!!

Watermelon Frose

I am not a watermelon fan, but that didn’t stop me from having a taste.

This had a very good watermelon flavour, but that’s all I can really say as it just wasn’t for me.

I gave this to my father who is a watermelon fan, and he said he really enjoyed it and it was very easy to drink and he loved it.

He gave it a solid 5/5 so it’s his rating.

If you like watermelon I am sure you will love this!

Pornstar Martini

These guys know how to do a Pornstar Martini

This was so good, full of that wonderful tropical flavour and just mega moreish but it now has competition with the Pink Gin Venom

It’s still a solid 5/5 but now it has competition

Strawberry and Mango Margarita

You can’t go wrong with a margarita, and I couldn’t wait to try this one.

Again just like all the cocktails from tonight’s delivery, and the previous deliveries the flavour was amazing!!!

This was finished very fast as I loved its flavour.

Firstly a big thanks to the guys at Social and Cocktail for making my Friday night better with their amazing cocktails.

I can highly recommend Social and Cocktail as all their cocktails were packed with flavour, looked great and it’s a great service.

Most of you that have been following this blog know i’ve been to Poco Havana a few times, you can read my previous reviews here and here

I have been hitting the Glasgow restaurants very hard recently, and spent a little more than I wanted. When I recently came across an itison voucher that I purchased a while back, and noticed that it was expiring soon so I thought lets head back and use it for a cheap weekend dinner.

My voucher was for two mains, so I will still show the cost of the dishes so you know what they would have been.

Main Course :

Chipotle Pulled Pork Burrito 12″ £8.95 (normally but I had the voucher)
“FILLED WITH ZINGY CITRUS RICE, REFRIED BEANS, GRATED MONTEREY JACK CHEESE, SALSA, SOUR CREAM AND YOUR CHOICE OF FILLING IN A 10” OR 12” FLOUR TORTILLA”

This was the first time I have had a Burrito at Poco Havana, so I was looking forward to seeing how they did them and also how it tasted.

I know in my recent previous posts I said I would try and be more critical and not always say it was really good, well this was really really good. With every bite I had my mouth was bursting with flavour, and I could have easily had another.

Sorry I didn’t show how it looked inside, I was enjoying it too much it was finished before that thought pop’d in my head.

Cocktail :

Again I have had a few cocktails here in the past, so I decided to try something new.

Frozen Margarita/Daiquiri £13.50
“Sharing jugs of our classic Margaritas and Daiquiris”

My girlfriend and I opted for the Mango one.

As you can see from the photo, you get a large amount since its a sharing jug. You get about 2 glasses full each from this, so its really worth the money.

Overall :

This was a very enjoyable visit, I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the food and cocktails.

Poco Havana have had a few deals on itison, so if you want to check it out but worries about trying somewhere new then this is the option for you.

The staff have always been very friendly and very helpful, and if you like burritos then you should check Poco Havana’s.
