Oak Tree Inn (Balmaha, Loch Lomond) 2021 : Review

The Visit

I love going a wee drive every now and then, long or closer to home.

Today I decided to take a random drive to Balmaha and see what it was like there, and I spotted The Oak Tree Inn on arrival so I popped in for some lunch.

The Food

I fancied trying a burger as I have not had one in a long time, and this one sounded good.

Bacon Bad Boy Beef Burger £13.75
Cheese, smoked streaky bacon & BBQ sauce

On arrival visually this looked really good, and so did the chips.

I started with the chips and WOW, perfectly pre salted and tasted REALLY good!

Now for the burger…I took a big bite…

YUMM!!! this was very tasty! The flavour of the burger meat was really nice, and it was perfectly cooked and juicy.

The whole bite was great flavours and IU really enjoyed every bite.

If you like burgers you need to check here out.

The Drovers Inn (Loch Lomond) 2021 : Review

The Visit

Today I was with some friends, and we went for a drive to Glencoe, Fort William, The Glenfinnan Viaduct and ending here at The Drivers Inn for some food.

The Burger

Vegetable Burger £12.50
Crumbled vegetable burger served in a brioche bap. (add cheese/bacon £0.50p)

I really dont know why I ordered this, but I wanted to try something different and this is what caught my eye.

I decided to add some cheese as sometimes vegetable burgers can be dry without.

This was actually ok, the sauce and the cheese helped with the texture and flavour.

It was nice, and very filling.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Overall :

Firstly if you have never visited here, its a stop you have to tick off your visit list.

You can even just come here to sit and have a drink, and have a look at the cool inside decor or sit out the back and enjoy the views.

Food wise its ok, its more a place to go and grab a snack and drink and chat.

My Rating :

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Tullie Inn (Balloch, Loch Lomond, ) : Review

V: 3rd August 2020

Today I took a drive down to Balloch to get some fresh air, and a late lunch come dinner.

I have visited Balloch many times, and I needed to clear my head and eat.

The Food

I have never been in here for food before, only coffee’s so it was going to be interesting to see how good the menu is.

Main Course :

Smoky Joe Burger £12.99
Beef chunk & brisket burger topped with slow cooked beef in a smoky sweet BBQ sauce, melted cheese slice and crispy streaky bacon.

Wow this was a big portion, and the smell was amazing…time to dig in.

I started with the burger, this had a very interesting but nice taste. Every bite was really nice, and the burger was very tender.

The chips were nice and crispy and had a nice taste, unfortunately they were just warm and no more so by the time I was finished my burger the chips were cold but it didn’t bother me too much.
