Hot World Cuisine Buffet (Glasgow) 2022 : Review

Todays Visit

I was asked by the guys here to come and check them out, and I said yeah!

I was here years ago and enjoyed my visit back then…I think I was celebrating a friend’s daughter’s birthday so it would be good to return and see how it’s changed and check out the food again.

As I said it had been a while since I was last here, so it would be interesting to see how it’s changed.

On entering it had changed a lot! it was lovely and very bright and modern looking inside.

I was then shown to my table and had a wee nosy around while I was seated.

Inside as I said is now more modern and has a nice bright but cosy feel to it.

The Food

Since this is a buffet I knew I would have a wide choice to choose from, I thought lets try a mix of a few things and see how much I go back for more.

My Starters

As you can see I got a right random mix.

I wanted to try a few things for my starter, but not a lot so I wasn’t full and didn’t have room for more.

Everything I chose was very nice, my favourite from the start were the chicken wings as they had a good flavour and a slight kick to them.

I enjoyed my starters and I had room for more…so now it was time for the mains.

My Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Main Course

Again I wanted a random mix, and I had a Chinese recently so I thought I would opt for Indian or Italian.

Indian was on my route along the buffet, so that choice was made for me.

I randomly selected two currys to try, and some rice.

Both Currys were very nice and packed with flavour, one of them had a good kick to it but wasn’t too much for me.

Unfortunately I was very full after all this, as I wanted to try more mains and also a dessert but I guess I will do that next time.

Visit Overall

Firstly a big thanks to Hot World Cuisine for my invite tonight, I had a lovely evening and meal.

As always the above review has not been influenced in any way, it’s always a 100% honest review.

Overall it was a good evening, I enjoyed the food and as I said when I do return I will try a few other dishes and this time try and leave room for dessert….so keep watching this space.

La Fiorentina Ristorante (Glasgow) 2022 : Review

The Visit

I visited not that long ago but that visit was to be a judge, I spoke to the guys here and said I would be back and I always keep my word.

Today I was at Falkirk doing a charity event, and I felt like pizza so I decided to pop back and visit.

The Food

Baked focaccia bread with sea salt, rosemary and extra virgin olive oil.

I remember trying this on my last visit here and had to have it again.

WOW, this time it was a massive portion! it’s probably a good sharing one or if you are a very hungry person.

I took a bite and mmm great texture, and a perfect balance of salt and rosemary mmm so good!

I loved every bite!

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

4 Formaggi £13.50
White piazza topped with buffalo mozzarella, cheddar, gorgonzola and parmesan cheese

When I visited Italy I always had a few of these and loved them, so when I spotted they did them here I had to go for this and see how it was here.

On arrival, this looked and smelled amazing and I couldn’t wait to dig right in.

Ohhh this was soo good! the base was nice and thin and the flavours of all the cheese mmm it took me right back to being in Italy.

I finished this and loved it and will be getting it again on my next visit.

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Visit Overall

Tonight’s visit was really good, the service and the food were just the same as before.

My favourite was the pizza as it took me right back to sitting in Italy watching the people walk by while I enjoy the pizza.

I will be adding here to my Top Restaurants page, soo do check them out.

Sannio Restaurant and Bar Soft Launch (Glasgow) 2022 : Review

The Visit

Guys, there is a new kid on the block to check out if you like Italian food.

Sannio has been open for a few months but tonight was the official launch party, and I was lucky enough to be invited to check it out.

On entering you go down the stairs and are instantly greeted by the lovely staff.

Tonight I was told to expect some tasters, drinks, live music and something special that hasn’t been done in Glasgow before.

I couldn’t wait to find out, till then it was time to try some food.

Tonights Food

From the start of the night to near the end we were brought a selection of tasters including Arancini, Smoked Salmon, Pasta with Italian sausage and several pizzas

My favourite taster was the pizza and the Italian sausage with escalopes.

Now for the announcement

So a first for Glasgow, I really had no idea what it could be so this was going to be interesting to find out what.

** NOTE: Some of the prices on the menu will change from April, keep watching their website for updates. e.g. prosecco, gold cocktails and coffees for £14

When I hear the word Gold I still think of the Spandau Ballet song….

Now this is a cool idea! and tonight I got to try an item from this menu.

We got to try the prosecco which unfortunately I couldn’t try as I was driving, but I did get to try the old Cappucino.

How cool does this look either the prosecco or the cappuccino? I actually felt bad taking a sip of my coffee as it looked so good!

This was a good coffee and the gold topping really added to the experience, there were a few things on the gold menu that I would like to try when not driving like the Gold Pornstar Martini

Visit Overall

Tonight’s visit was very nice, and I look forward to visiting again.

The atmosphere was great, the food was nice and I will pop back to try a few dishes soon so keep watching for that review.

If you’re going to the theatre or want to try a new Italian restaurant then check out Sannio.

The review posted above was not influenced in any way just because it was an invite, all comments and thoughts in this blog post are my 100% honest opinion.
