Satisfying the sweet tooth at @dhamakaa_ek with a Satisfying the sweet tooth at @dhamakaa_ek with a side that honestly deserves its own spotlight.

The Mango Peswari Naan (£3.95) is a certified must-order if you’re like me and love a sweet twist with your savory meal.

Why it’s a winner:

Perfect Texture: The naan arrived warm, soft, and incredibly fluffy.

The Filling: It’s packed with a vibrant mango flavor that hits all the right sweet notes without being over the top.

Versatility: It paired perfectly with the main course, but it’s just as good to nibble on between dishes.

If you usually go for a standard peswari, this mango version is a game-changer. Definitely one for the fellow sweet-tooth foodies.

Stepping out of my comfort zone at @dhamakaa_ek pa Stepping out of my comfort zone at @dhamakaa_ek paid off big time tonight.

I usually stick to my "usuals," but the Honey Chilli Chicken (£6.25) was calling my name.

The Verdict:

First Impressions: The aroma hit the table before the plate did. It smelled incredible, sweet, sticky, and seriously inviting.

The Texture: The chicken was perfectly cooked, super tender on the inside with that essential crispy glaze on the outside.

The Heat: It’s got a signature kick, but it’s perfectly balanced. The spice doesn't mask the flavour; it actually makes that honey glaze pop.

If you’re looking to switch up your order, this is the one. Absolutely delicious from the first bite to the last.

Taking a detour from my usual order at @dhamakaa_e Taking a detour from my usual order at @dhamakaa_ek was the best decision I made all week.

The Sea Bass Koliwada (£14.95) is a total masterclass in Mumbai coastal flavours. If you’re a seafood lover, this one needs to be on your radar immediately.

The Breakdown:

The Vibe: It arrived looking incredible, served with a side of fluffy rice that soaked up every bit of zest.

The Senses: The aroma was the first thing to hit, a fragrant, complex blend of spices that made it nearly impossible to wait for a photo.

The Taste: Perfectly flaky, tender sea bass encased in a crunchy, spiced coating. It’s tangy, zesty, and elevates the delicate fish to a whole new level.

I’ve had sea bass all over, but this Koliwada preparation is officially my new favorite way to eat it. I honestly could have polished off a second portion.

Back at @dhamakaa_ek! There’s something about Gol Back at @dhamakaa_ek!

There’s something about Gol Gappe that hits differently every single time. If you know me, you know this was an automatic reorder from my last visit, I just couldn’t stay away!

Gol Gappe (£3.75)

These crispy semolina shells are basically little pockets of joy. They’re stuffed with spiced potatoes and chickpeas, then you drench them in that signature tangy, chilled tamarind water.

Why I keep coming back for more:

The Texture: You get that perfect crunch followed by the smooth, hearty filling.

The Flavour Profile: It’s a literal explosion of sweet, spicy, and sour in one single bite.

Consistency: Just like last time, the presentation was spot on and the taste was even better.

It’s one of those effortless dishes that just makes you happy. If you’ve never tried them, consider this your sign to finally give them a go, you won’t regret it!

The 10-course journey across India has reached its peak with the KING PRAWN METHI MALAI.

When you start your experience at Dhoom, you get to choose your main course. Honestly, every option sounded so good I could have picked any of them! Usually, I’d go for the fish or chicken curry, but tonight I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and I’m so glad I did.

The Dish: Punjabi-style succulent king prawns cooked in a rich onion and charmagaz sauce, flavored with fenugreek and ginger.

The Aroma: As soon as it arrived with the rice and sides, the smell was incredible. I couldn't wait to dig in!

The Flavour: I tried a prawn on its own first, and the flavors just exploded. The prawns were perfectly cooked, and that sauce? One word: WOW. It was so beautifully balanced and rich.

Even though the previous courses were catching up with me, I couldn’t leave a single bite. It was just that tasty! If you’re visiting, I’d highly recommend giving this one a try—it is absolutely delicious.

📍 A Delhi Classic at @dhoomindianstreatery The 1 📍 A Delhi Classic at @dhoomindianstreatery

The 10-course journey has brought us to Northern India for a true staple: PANEER TIKKA MAKHANWALA.

I’ll be honest, I’m usually 50/50 with Paneer. Sometimes it’s just "okay," so I was curious to see how Dhoom would handle it. Given how incredible the meal had been so far, I had high hopes... and they definitely delivered!

The Presentation: It looked lovely and was the perfect portion size for a tasting menu. But it was the aroma of that velvety makhani tomato sauce that really got me.

The Verdict: I tried the paneer on its own first and, wow, it was exceptional. The flavour was so good I could hardly believe it was paneer!

The Sauce: While the makhani sauce worked beautifully, the paneer itself was so delicious it almost didn't need anything else. This definitely falls into the "very good" category, actually, let's go with "excellent."

The 10-course journey continues with a unique twist on a classic: PESTO LAMB CHAPLI KEBAB. When this dish arrived, it looked so intriguing, I wasn't quite sure what to expect! But from the very first bite, I knew it was something special.

The Texture: This lamb was incredibly tender. It literally melted in my mouth.

The Twist: Chef Prasad has put a healthy, fresh spin on this traditional dish. The lamb is minced with basil, ginger, and green chillies, then steamed and grilled.

The Flavor: The pesto added such a beautiful layer of flavour that worked perfectly with the accompanying sauce.

Honestly, this was one of the nicest lamb kebabs I’ve had in a long time. Whatever the chef has done here is absolutely amazing!

The 10-course journey has reached Punjab with a royal Mughlai classic: ZAFARANI MURGH MALAI TIKKA.

As soon as this was placed in front of me, the aroma was absolutely fantastic—I couldn't wait to dig in!

The Chicken: I tried a bite on its own first, and it was so tender with a lovely, delicate flavour.

The Sauce: This is where the magic happens. The creamy white sauce infused with saffron, cardamom, and white pepper took the dish to a whole new level.

The Verdict: You can really taste how the spices work beautifully together. My taste buds are being completely spoiled tonight!

Honestly, it was another dish I could have easily eaten all over again.

The 10-course journey continues, and this time we’ve reached the Konkan Coast for the FISH KOLIWADA.

This dish looked so interesting when it arrived. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, other than knowing—based on everything else so far, it was probably going to be delicious. I wasn't wrong!

The Texture: The fish was perfectly cooked with a beautiful, light crispness to the batter.

The Flavor: While it was a little messy thanks to that incredible sauce, every bite was worth it. The sauce really elevated the natural flavor of the fish to another level.

The Verdict: Great textures throughout and extremely tasty. Honestly, it’s another dish I could have easily eaten more of!

Every course on this new menu has been exceptional so far. I’m having the best time exploring these flavors!
