The Dispensary Bar – NEW Espresso Martini Cocktail

About The Cocktail

We’ve created an espresso martini using only Scottish brands! We’ve paired Sutors Gin Vodka and Dear Green cold brew with our own blend of coffee liqueur using Old Mother Hunt golden rum, coffee, vanilla pods and demera sugar for an incredible serve. Now available from our online store.

The Drink

I was gifted 3 cans, so I knew my weekend was sorted.

Firstly this is very cool having a cocktail in a can, as its easy to story and also easy to drink either from the can or pour into a glass.

The labelling I really liked as it looked very classic, and modern at the same time.

Now time to taste…

I had put the can in the fridge to keep it nice and cool for a few hours, before I opened it and poured.

The smell was really nice, similar to the way they smell at the bars…but with a slight twist which I am guessing is due to the contents…maybe the rum?

I took a taste, then another taste hmm the first thing that struck me was the fizz this was a little off putting but ignoring that the flavour was very smooth and really nice.

I finished my glass, and right up to the last sip I thought the same as when I first tasted it.

I decided to put the remaining opened half a can back in the fridge to try the next day, as I knew the fizz would have fully gone by then to see how it was the next day.

The next day I poured the contents in to a nice glass, sat down and finished it. Yes! this was so much nicer, no fizz but all the remaining taste much better! I am guessing to keep it nice and fresh that’s why fizz is added, which makes sense.

So much better the next day, and I enjoyed it very much.

Overall :

Firstly a big thank you to The Dispensary Bar for the Espresso Martini’s, and making my weekend extra special with a lovely cocktail.

I have no hesitation recommending The Dispensary Bar’s Espresso Martini, or any of their other cocktails.

If you do get this I would say if you want optimal taste to what you are probably used to, crack open the can the night before and chill over night then drink it.

Please do check them out as they do great cocktails, and the guys behind the bar are really nice 🙂

Strawberry Daiquiri

I started with the Strawberry Daiquiri, and just like the packet says it was super easy to prepare.

I had to find a fancy glass in the house, so I could have a nice wee cocktail at home.

WOW this packed amazing flavour and am not just saying that, it was very very very nice and tasty!!

I really loved the flavour of this, and I could have easily had a second…and maybe a third

This one is a solid 5/5 for me.

Pina Colada Daiquiri

So after having the first one, and really loved it I had to prepare another one and this is the one I choose.

Just like the first the preparation was very easy, instructions super simple and it smelled so good….now the tasting time

Ok so I am not just saying that because these were sent to me, but WOW really WOW they are full of flavour and so so so delicious.

This one is a solid 5/5 for me.

Pornstar Martini

This was my drink of choice a few years back, and I could easily have many of these. It was easy to drink, and had great flavour so I couldn’t wait to try this one.⠀

This was just as good as I remembered, the flavour mmmm so so good!⠀

This brought back so many memories, and just like then I could have easily had more of these.

Espresso Martini

My second cocktail of choice ages ago was this one, and it just depended on how I was feeling that night if I wanted something sweet or this coffee cocktail.⠀

The smell of this was too good to be true, I could have easily smelt it for a while but it did have to be tried so…on to the tasting.⠀

WOW perfection! That’s all I can really say if you like Espresso Martini’s then this one is for you and you will LOVE this.

A solid 5/5

Starburst Martini⠀

This was a new one for me, and I didn’t really know what to think on how it would taste….maybe very sweet? Well it was time to find out.⠀

The smell of this was very nice, and very sweet which was perfect for me as I have sweet tooth so I couldn’t wait to try this.

This was very interesting, not as sweet as I thought it would be but still had a really nice flavour

This is one I would try again, as the more I had the more I liked it 🙂

There’s No Place Like Tonic

I have never heard of this one, so it was my last one and I couldn’t wait to try it.⠀

It smelled very very good, but how did it taste?⠀

This was very smooth and had a really good mango flavour mmmm it was perfection in a glass and another one I could have easily had more than just one off.⠀

Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee Masterclasses Invite (Glasgow) : Review

V: 23rd October 2019

Jägermeister’s Cold Brew Coffee Available Now
Instagram/Facebook @JagermeisterUK | Twitter: @JagerUK

A perfect fusion of Jägermeister, Cold Brew Coffee and Cacao

I was invited to visit the Tiki Bar in Glasgow, for the Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee event which I was very excited to attend. One I love wee events and two I love coffee so this sounded interesting.

The inventive liqueur sees the classic Jägermeister recipe of 56 herbs and spices expertly fused with cold-brewed Arabica coffee and just a hint of cacao to create a new Jägermeister shot experience, with a barista touch.

I have never been to the Tiki Bar, but its always been on my list, so tonight was going to be a great night for many new things.

On entering I could see how funky this place was, plus lots of Jägermeister goodies and promo materiel this looked like it was going to be a fun event.

I was welcomed and offered a little taster, and this was an interesting taster. I could have a shot of Cold Brew, or a small ice cream cone with the shot….it was a hard decision so I went for both.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM I loved this, it tasted like Jägermeister but MUCH BETTER….well for me as I have a sweet tooth and like coffee.

This for me was a perfect shot, it was amazing and I couldn’t wait to try more tonight.

I spotted a little list of cocktails that were being made tonight, that included Jägermeister’s new Cold Brew drink and they all sounded good…..which means I had to try them all.

I got talking to someone that worked at Jägermeister, he welcomed me and recommended that tonight I had to try the Espresso Martini.

This was a great recommendation as one of my favourite cocktails is an Espresso Martini… it was time to taste how it was with Cold Brew.

Jägermeister’s Cold Brew Coffee, Salted Caramel, Espresso, Vanilla

Ohhh now this was different but in a good way, it tasted like a normal Espresso Martini but sweeter and the salted caramel just rounded it off.

I don’t know if these cocktails were just for tonight, or will continue to be served but tonight the first for us was free but had a normal price of £6 which is a good price.

I loved this and could easily have more, but tonight there were others to try…

There were several cocktails available tonight but the Espresso Martini and the following two were my favourites.

Bounty Hunter
(Coconut-Washed Jägermeister’s Manifest, Honey and Chocolate Bitters)

This was very nice and had a good strong Bounty flavour, with a nice hint of the Jägermeister flavour coming through. This is another one I would recommend.

Gecko Club
(Jägermeister’s Cold Brew Coffee, Orgeat, Lime, Aromatic Bitters)

OH now this was different, the first flavour was the Cold Brew then it finished on a subtle Lime flavour which made it refreshing. Another one for you to try when visiting here or making it at home.

Overall :

Firstly a big thank you to Jägermeister for the invite tonight, and for the amazing night I enjoyed it from start to finish.

For me this was a really nice drink, and one I have already got myself a bottle at home to enjoy 🙂

I will either be going back to try more Cold Brew cocktails, or buying Cold Brew to make the Espresso Martini at home 🙂

Jägermeister’s Cold Brew will be available NOW in Morrisons and selected off-licenses NOW!!! and that it would work as a great Christmas gift.

I highly recommend this if you have a sweet tooth and like coffee.

Thanks Tiki Bar & Jägermeister 🙂
