The guys over at Heckfoods were nice enough to send me two of their products to try, and I couldnt wait to try them.

As anyone in the sausage game will be able to tell you, a traditional furter is made with mechanically recovered meat. Ew!
We didn’t like the sound of that, and we know our HECK fans wouldn’t like the sound of that either, so in a ‘furst of its kind’ (there we go again with the puns) we’ve made a furter with 97% British chicken. Only the best for our fans.
97% chicken sausages with a smokey flavour
I was a little hesitant with this one, as a chicken hotdog? really? could this work and would it taste good?….well I had to find out.
I started to cook them and went to watch TV while the magic happened.
While sitting I started to smell them and the smell was just like a hotdog, I waited till ready and tasted.
The outside texture was maybe just a little tougher than your traditional hotdog, but the texture when biting it was just like one.
I really enjoyed these, and actually preferred the taste of these to normal hotdogs. I would like to have these again, and try some funky hotdog combos and see how it compaires.

Pork and Apple sausages with a hint of black treacle
The sound of these sounded very good, and taste and texture I really didn’t know what to expect, but I couldn’t wait to start cooking them and try them.
I started cooking and waited…
While waiting the smell from these was so good, my mouth started to water.
As you can see from the photo above, they looked really good…now time to taste.
The texture reminded me of a links sausage, but the flavours were much much better. I enjoyed every single mouthful, and finished them all.
WOW I LOVED!!!! these and could easily have these time and time again.

Overall :
Firstly a big thanks to the guys over at HECK, I really enjoyed what you sent me and will aim to try more of your products as they were very tasty.
Both products were very different so I cant do a comparision, but both products I would purchase and have again.
My favourite out the two has to be the Guy Porks, for me this was perfect tender, full of flavour and I enjoyed it very very much.
