If you’re wandering through the aisles of Asia Foo If you’re wandering through the aisles of Asia Food Hypermart in Glasgow and the aroma from the Food 2 Go section starts calling your name, listen to it!

I recently picked up their Chicken Biryani, and it was an absolute standout. From the first forkful to the last grain of rice, it was delicious from start to finish. The spice blend was punchy and perfectly balanced, coating every grain of long-grain basmati.

The highlight? The meat was incredibly tender. It practically falls apart, soaking up all those deep, aromatic flavours.

If you want that genuine, home-cooked feel in a quick takeaway format, this is a must-grab. Great job @foodasiascotland!

I was invited to @luckysglasgow at 2129 Paisley Ro I was invited to @luckysglasgow at 2129 Paisley Road West and honestly, I am still thinking about it. If you are looking for comfort food that actually hits the spot, this is it.

What I ordered:
* Double Smashed Angus Beef Burger – Perfectly crispy edges and so juicy.
* Peri Salt Fries – The ultimate kick of flavour.
* Aero Milk Chocolate Shake – Smooth, and pure nostalgia.
* Mini Eggs Crunch Cookie Dough – The star of the show! Warm, gooey, and absolutely AMAZING.

Back at one of my absolute favorite spots today @g Back at one of my absolute favorite spots today @gloagburn Farm Shop! 🌾✨

Whether it’s for a quick bit of shopping or a long lunch, this place never misses. Today was all about catching up with friends, a little retail therapy, and diving into their daily specials.

I decided to skip the main menu and try the Hot Smoked Salmon & Denhead Asparagus Tart (£14.95), served with red pepper mayo and homemade oatcakes. 🐟🥧

The verdict? Absolutely incredible. The tart was perfectly cooked and the salmon flavour was so fresh. But the real game-changer? That red pepper mayo! It added the perfect kick without overpowering the salmon. And don’t even get me started on the oatcakes… they literally melted in my mouth. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had! 🤤

A perfect lunch from start to finish.

Full blog review coming soon! Stay tuned for all the details.

I finally checked out Asiafood Hypermarket in Glasgow and let’s just say my "quick trip" turned into a full-blown haul. This place is absolutely massive! It’s floor-to-ceiling with every food and snack you could need.

I went in expecting to leave with a small bag, but the aisles had other plans. One trolley later... here we are. Stay tuned, once I eat my way through this mountain of food, I’ll be dropping a full blog review!

Ending my Glencoe trip on a high note at the legen Ending my Glencoe trip on a high note at the legendary @clachaig_inn 🏔️

After a morning of exploring, I needed a lunch that was filling but light enough for the long drive home.

The Oak Smoked West Coast Salmon (£13)

Scottish salmon, smoked just down the road in Fort William, piled high on a sandwich with mixed leaves, tomato, and their house-made lemon & dill mayo.

I was genuinely impressed when it hit the table. They don't skimp on the salmon here, it was generously packed and looked incredible. The salmon was exceptionally fresh. That smoky depth paired with the bright, zesty lemon and dill mayo was a total winner.

Perfect "road trip fuel." It felt like a treat without being too heavy, leaving me fueled and focused for the journey back.

Saving the day at @islesofglencoe with dessert! Saving the day at @islesofglencoe with dessert!

After a bit of a hit-or-miss main course, I was really hoping the Mango Brûlée would turn things around, and it absolutely did.

The Flavour: The mango was incredibly vibrant and fresh. It was the perfect tropical twist on a classic.

The Crunch: You know that satisfying crack when you hit the sugar top with a spoon? This one was perfection.

The Verdict: While the meal had its ups and downs, this dessert (paired with that unbeatable Glencoe view) made the whole experience worthwhile.

Chasing sunsets at @islesofglencoe After a day o Chasing sunsets at @islesofglencoe

After a day of exploring, I headed here for a dinner I’d booked specifically for those famous views. While the atmosphere and the scenery were 10/10, the food was a bit of a different story.

Trio Fish & Chips £28.00
Coley, squid rings, king prawns, crushed peas, fries, tartare, lemon

First Impressions: To be honest, I was a bit let down when the plate arrived. The presentation was quite underwhelming and lacked that "wow" factor you’d expect for the price point.

The Highs: The king prawns were definitely the highlight! The batter was light and crispy, letting a little flavour of the prawns shine through.

The Lows: Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The squid rings were bland, tasting mostly of batter, and the main piece of coley was overdone, the batter was very hard in places and the delicate flavour was lost to the deep fryer.

The Sides: The chips were perfectly fine, but they couldn't quite save the dish.

It’s such a shame because the concept of a fish trio is brilliant, but the execution just felt a bit heavy-handed.

Finally ticked @kingshouseglencoe off the bucket l Finally ticked @kingshouseglencoe off the bucket list! ✨

After years of dreaming about staying here, I finally made it. Naturally, the very first thing on the agenda was lunch.

Pan Fried Potato Gnocchi | £17.00
Slow Roasted Sweet Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Rocket

While the Haggis and classic Fish & Chips were tempting, I decided to step outside my usual comfort zone and go for the gnocchi, and I’m so glad I did.

Presentation was 10/10. The vibrant colors against the crisp white bowl made it almost too pretty to eat (almost!).

The gnocchi was perfectly cooked with a delicate flavour. When you get a bit of everything in one bite, the sweetness of the peppers with that slight pan-fried crisp, it’s a winner.

The portion size was the perfect, just right to keep me fueled for a day of exploring Glencoe without feeling weighed down.

Finally crossed this one off the bucket list! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳 Finally crossed this one off the bucket list! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨ @kingshouseglencoe

After eight years of dreaming about a stay here while exploring Scotland, I finally pulled into the car park, and let’s just say, it was worth the wait. From the warmest welcome at reception to that first glimpse of the room, the vibes were 10/10 from the start.

The Highlights:

The View: Waking up to a Glencoe backdrop is something I’ll never forget. 🏔️

The Comfort: A massive, cloud-like bed and total silence. I haven’t slept this well in ages. ☁️

The Fuel: A massive breakfast spread (yes, there was haggis!) enjoyed right by the window. ☕️

The room was spotless, the staff were lovely, and the whole experience was the perfect Scottish escape.

I’m keeping some of the best bits for later, though! Full blog review with all the details, photos, and my top tips is coming very soon.
