INVITED

The Visit
On 30th January I was invited to go to Chaiiwalal Glasgow for a wee bloggers event, I had been before and enjoyed the food so I accepted and added the date to my calendar.
Inside
As you may have seen from my previous blogs and Instagram posts, the inside is lovely!!! the room we were sitting in is the one pictured which can be hired for any business lunches etc.
The Food
As I said I have been here a few times already and tried a lot of items from their menu. So today I thought I would try something different.
Chicken Tikka in Naan (normally £3.95)
another street food classic, grilled boneless chicken wrapped in stone-baked naan with onions, tomatoes and yoghurt-mint chutney
I spotted this on the menu today and I knew I had to get it, I have missed this before and it sounded very nice.
On arrival just like my previous visits, the items are all wrapped up in what looks like an old Indian newspaper which I think is very cool.
Opening it this looked very nice and it was time to take a bite.
I had to take a big bite as the chicken tikka chunks were big, but once I did the flavours hit me instantly. This was very nice I could taste everything, and it all worked very well together.
The sauce used was really good and I look forward to having this again.
My Rating:
Chilli & Lemon Chips (normally £2.90 add £0.50p for cheese)
freshly prepared fries tossed in Chaiiwala spicy chilli and lemon chutney
This was another new one I spotted and had to try, when ordering the waitress asked if I wanted cheese with it…s I asked what she would recommend and she said yes with cheese so that’s what I did.
On arrival, this looked very nice and smelled nice too. I could smell the lemon from it which was nice.
Ohh these were nice, and they had a lovely flavour to them and a good after kick to them.
For me after eating half the kick was getting too much, but I persisted as it was very nice.
My Rating:
Chilli Paneer (normally £4.50)
lightly deep-fried cottage cheese chunks smothered in spicy onion and pepper sauce, garnished with spring onions.
My friend ordered this and I got to taste this, as this was my second option so it worked out perfectly.
I tried a few pieces and liked the taste, I think if I was to try and eat the whole dish I would have struggled as I am not good with spicy dishes or even a little spicy.
I am glad I got to try them and if you like paneer you should give this a try.
My Rating:
Caramel Chaii
Recently at my visits, I have had the mint chaii but today I thought let’s try something different, so I opted for the caramel Chaii.
Just like all the chaii’s I have tasted here this was very nice and very moreish.
If you want to taste really good tea, you need to come here to check out their Chaii menu!!
My Rating :
