I have never been to St Andrew’s and it was on my hit list when the weather was good to visit, today’s weather wasn’t great but I decided to take a drive and have some lunch and check the place out.
I popped into Gorgeous for a quick lunch.
pancakes layered with butter and bacon, drizzled with maple syrup & powdered sugar
A very healthy lunch your thinking 🙂
On arrival this looked really good and smelled very nice…now it was time to dig in as I was very hungry.
This is just as you would expect it, fluffy pancakes with bacon and maple syrup mmmm
For me and this is a personal thing, the bacon could have been a little more crispy but if I were to order this again I would just ask them to do that.
Overall this was a very tasty lunch 🙂

Today’s visit to Gorgeous was very nice, the cakes on entering the cafe looked amazing! so I will be trying them on my next visit.
It’s a very quirky wee cafe but the staff, service and food were very good.
I have wanted to see more of Scotland and planned on seeing a few places, but recently North Berwick caught my eye so I decided to take a drive and check it out.
The drive from Glasgow is about just over an hour and a half, unless the Edinburgh road is busy so if you do plan on going plan ahead or leave early.
On arrival I wanted to grab some lunch but didn’t know where to visit, but this was my first find so I went in and ordered some food.
Inside was very nice, and had a nice cosy atmosphere.
Chicken Mayo Wrap £6.45
with salad garni
As you can see from the photos this looked mega tasty! and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
I didn’t realise it would come toasted, so I was hoping it wasn’t too crispy as that spoils a nice wrap.
Ohh this was perfect! the wrap was toasted just right, the chicken nice and tender and a nice flavour.
I enjoyed every bite, and would have this again when I visit.
I am glad I found here, and tried it as it was a very nice relaxing lunch.
I enjoyed my food, the service was good and will make sure to visit them again on my next trip to North Berwick

I have been to The Cove a good few times, but sometimes eat what I order before I take photos…bad blogger I know but hey I was hungry.
I visited The Cove (used to be called One Cove Road) on the 23rd May, as its been a while and its a lovely drive and lovely view when your inside having your coffee or snack.
What I Ordered..
Pancake Tower : Maple Syrup & Bacon £6.95
I have had this a few times when I have visited in the past, and I couldn’t not order it today as it was really good.
On arrival this looked very tasty and smelled really good!
I put the slices of bacon in between the pancakes, then poured the syrup all over….just look how good and shiny and mmmmmm it looked.
Time to dig in.
So good! everything made the perfect bite!
The bacon was lovely and super tasty, the pancakes light and fluffy and the syrup not too sweet, and as I said it all worked very very well together.
I was actually wanting to order a coffee and a small cake, but this was very filling this is all I had. I guess I will have to do that next visit.
If you haven’t visited here before, please do check it out. You get great service, friendly staff, good food and on a lovely day a great view.
