Back again…

One of the things I wanted to try was Absurb’s Bottomless Wings, and this deal is on every Wednesday.

The Food…

IMG_2421.jpg

Bottomless Chicken Wings £12pp

The deal is you get 12 of the same wings, and once you finish them you get 2 more and keep getting 2 for a set time limit which, to be honest, should be more than enough for anyone.

In my mind I thought 12 yeah I can handle this, and get more…but that was all in my mind. What actually happened is I only managed 11, and had to leave the last one.

These were tasty, nicely cooked and the sauce was nice.

How was my second visit? to be honest it was just as good as my last.

I enjoyed the atmosphere tonight and enjoyed the food. Again the staff were very friendly and helped create a nice buzz with all the customers.

See you next time defo for the burgers!!

Absurb recently opened in Glasgow, around 2 weeks at the time I am typing this up.

I spotted an offer on itison for 2 mains and a beer or wine for £16, this was a great deal so I couldn’t pass on this plus I wanted to visit Absurb and see what it was like.

On entering its good a cool vibe, and I was greeted by the restaurant manager. I had a booking for a time and was a little early so I sat at the bar which is in the centre of the whole restaurant.

The decor is very interesting, it’s like its split in to little rooms….some look like a retro diner and some like an American dining room.

So while I waited for my table I spoke to the barman and asked him for a nice sweet rum-based cocktail, and he made me a rum-based (not vodka) Espresso Martini

It was £5.95 which is a good price, plus it was very good.

Now time to eat..

The Food…

So this is what I ordered…

ABSURD BIRD LAGER 4%

I thought let’s try the restaurants own beer to see what it was like.

This was actually a nice beer, very light and worked perfectly with the rest of the meal.

DIRTY PULLED CHICKEN (normally £11.60)

BBQ pulled chicken, topped with sour cream, guacamole & jalapeños

Visually when it arrived it was like wow and mmm, so now it was time to dig in and see if it tasted as good as it looked.

First impression was the pulled chicken could be a little warmer, it was just warm enough (not sure if it was meant to be this way so continued).

This was very nice every bite very good, nice tastes and textures. I would defo have this again…well once I try the other waffles and also the burgers.

Overall my first visit here was very good, I could see the staff just clicked and worked well together even though its newly opened there was a sense of family and closeness with them.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the food and atmosphere was very good.

Guys and gals if you do like fried chicken, you must take a visit here. If your not to sure get the deal, and give it a shot.

Absurb I will see you soon to try the burgers.
