I am never really in this area of Glasgow, mostly drive through it but today I was going for brunch.

I had heard many good reviews about Lebowskis from either the atmosphere, the drinks, events etc so I was looking forward to trying here.

Today was a nice day so I opted to sit outside and enjoy the sun.

The Food :

This was part of an Itison deal so it was 2 Bunches with prosecco for £19, this is really good its basically 50% off

Full Breakfast £n/a (normally £15)
The full breakfast

What can I say? this was very filling, you had loads here to eat and everything was cooked perfectly.

For me and its a personal thing, I like my bacon a little more crispy but I didn’t ask for it this was as wanted to see how they do it.

I really enjoyed this and would have this again, but I did spot they did pancakes bacon and maple syrup as another option so hmmmm it could be that if I get this voucher again.

Overall :

Today was a nice day, I enjoyed sipping on my Prosecco and having my big breakfast under the sun.

I have zero complaints about today’s visit, the food and service was very good and for value for money with the voucher it was very very good.

Would I go back? Yes with and without the voucher as its still good value but more so with the voucher.

I am more and more exploring the Glasgows West End, and recently Ashton Lane more. I have been in Innes & Gunn once for a beer, so I thought why not pop in and try some food.

Inside has a nice modern look, to one side you have an eating area and the other side a drinks area.

The Food :

Today I decided to try two dishes, these were small ones.

Nachos £4.50

Can you really go wrong with Nachos? sometimes, mostly due to not enough of the cheese or sauce etc

This was very nice and for the cost a perfect portion size, the flavours were good and it was very tasty.

Popcorn Mussels £4.50

Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchen : Popcorn Mussels
So this sounded very interesting, as I have had popcorn chicken which is great but mussels? I asked the waitress about this and she recommended it so I gave it a shot.

It was nice, not amazing. If you like mussels think of that texture but slightly rougher (due to the light coating of batter) and you have popcorn mussels.

This was a very good portion size!!!

Overall my return visit to try food was good, the food was nice and really good value for money.

Would I come back here for food? well that really depends, its not a place you would go for a nice meal out. Its the place where if your wanting to get some drinks and snack food, then this is that place.

I will return as they had a few beers I would like to try.

Steak Cattle & Roll (Glasgow) : Review

321 Sauchiehall Street

I had seen that Steak Cattle & Roll were opening, and followed them on all social platforms as I wanted to see what food they had to offer. When I started seeing all the posts of food milkshakes etc I knew I needed to visit.

After a while I still hadn’t visited, but I had a few chats with them on Twitter and promised I would visit…..I like to keep my promises so today I visited.

Prior to this visit I had a look at the menu, and liked a few things but Steak Cattle & Roll suggested for my first visit to start with a burger….so I did.

The Food :

Part of me today would have liked to have tried the big challenge burger, but I have been trying to loose weight and tone up since January and that would put me right back to where I started.

Looking at the menu there were many things I would like to try, but today I decided I would try 2 dishes and a milkshake.

Biscoffi Milkshake £5.00
Vanilla ice cream, cookie spread, banana chips

I love Biscoffi biscuits, so when I saw this I HAD to try this and see how it compared.

OH MY GOD!!!! this was amazing, if I didn’t have the other dishes coming I could have had at least 4 of these.

Cheesy Chips £4.00

I asked the waiter how cheesy these were and he replied very cheesy, so I had to give them a shot.

On arrival my first thought “thick chips” I do like them, but skinny chips all the way for me.

I tried a chip and the cheese sauce was the same sauce used on Macaroni Cheese, this is an ok cheese to use on chips but there are better cheese sauces.

For me this was ok, would I have it again probably not I would try something else.

Nacho Burger £10.00

This was the burger that stood out for me, as the nachos and description sounded good.

On arrival I was thinking “this is a big burger”

Normally I like to use both hands and bite into my burgers, but this one was to big for my mouth so I had to resort to a knife and fork.

This was a very nice and very tasty burger, but wow it was filling for me.

Overall :

Overall my first visit was a very filling visit, and I enjoyed what I ordered even if I didnt manage to finish the chips.

Maybe one day I will attempt a food challenge here.

I would like to go back and try the massive hot dog, or something else and a few more milkshakes so keep watching my posts.
