The Bee Bros Honey with Cocoa : Review

The guys over at The Bee’s Bros, sent me a sweet gift.

As you can see they really spoiled me, and they also allowed me to do a competition to win some pots (its now ended)

The good thing about all The Bee Bros products are they contain ZERO sugar and ZERO palm oil, but still pack a fantastic and moreish taste.

Time to taste

As you can see they sent me a lot, and wow they really did spoil me. This was a tough decision to make, but the wafers just called out my name.

Wafers with honey & cocoa

These were very very good, and to be honest half a packet just disappeared very fast and very easily lol .

If your a wafer fan and like the sound of these, I would highly recommend you try them.

Grab & Go Travel Packs (Chocolate, Strawberry & Bananna)

This is a great idea, and a great little packet.

The top screws off, you squeeze and bingo you have your amazing honey.

I think these would be great for trips with the family, or to add to your kids school lunch.

All of these were very nice, but the main chocolate one was the one that won my heart.

Honey Spread with Cocoa (Cherry & Blackberry)

Kris Visits : Wagamama (Glasgow Fort) to try some Vegan Food VLOG

The guys over at the Glasgow Fort Wagamama, invited me to come and try some Vegan options from their menu.

As you know I am not Vegan but I am always willing to try new things, or at least try something once. What I had was very good and surprised me, check the video out to see my thought or view the blog on my website.

Wagamama (Glasgow Fort, Glasgow) Trying the Vegan Menu : Review

Invited: 28th January 2020

The guys over at Wagamama sent me an invite to visit the Glasgow Fort branch, to come in and try their Vegan menu and I accepted and set a date.

Yes you read that correct, I said yes to trying some Vegan food….yup 2020 has an interesting start to the year for me.

I haven’t gone out and had any Vegan dishes before, I didn’t know what to expect as well you know me as you have seen my posts…but hey I am always up for trying new things.

Looking Around

I have never driven to the Glasgow Fort before, but to be honest it was very easy.

I have been to Wagamama many years ago, and enjoyed that visit but the one part I didn’t like too much (personal preference) was your sitting next to strangers.

When entering this Wagamama I noticed that here they had a benches area, and had a normal table area which was great so I opted to sit at the table section.

The Food

So tonight its from the Vegan menu, and I really had no idea if I was going to like it or not.

Time to see what it’s like…

Yasai Gyoza £5.95 (Tonight Free)

five steamed dumplings filled with vegetables. Served grilled with dipping sauce

I wanted to have a wee side, to see what another dish was going to be like so I played safe as I have had dumplings at other restaurants.

I tried these on their own, and then with the sauce.

On their own they were nice, but they needed a little more flavour for me. With the sauce really helped for me, and I enjoyed every bite.

Main Course :

Vegan ‘Suika’ Tuna (Tonight FREE)

Wow this was a big portion, and for me looked very interesting.

I was told that the “tuna” is actually dehydrated watermelon which is sliced and seared, which gives it the look and texture of tuna….now theres a first for me to hear you could do that but very cool.

I am not a watermelon person, so I was very hesitant to eat this but it was recommended to me by Wagamama to try so I didn’t want to let them down.

Time to try and see how this was…

So I tried everything on its own, and then combined for the perfect bite.

I hope you are sitting down reading this, as I am going to shock you. This actually was very very tasty and I enjoyed every bite. The watermelon didn’t taste like watermelon for me, so again this was great for me and it tasted really nice.

Desert :

chocolate + orange blossom ice cream (Tonight FREE)

So some Vegan Ice Cream, now this is also another first for me.

On arrival it looked really good, but now it was time to taste…

So this had the texture of normal ice cream, and the taste of a light chocolate and orange flavour. Ok so not as bad as expected, and the orange was very nice.

The chocolate for me (personal preference as I have a sweet tooth) could have been a little stronger in flavour, but overall very impressed and was nice and light.

Visit Overall :

Note : Just because this was an invite, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the day, and the food.

Firstly a big thanks to Wagamama for tonight’s invite.

I went in expecting to just think meh but came out enjoying what I had tonight, and I could really have the same dish again….I am as shocked at you at reading this to 🙂 If you like vegan food or up for trying something different then I recommend trying this dish and taking a visit to Wagamama.
