I like visiting Patisserie Valerie every now and then, more so for the afternoon tea but today I decided to try something else.

There are two locations in Glasgow, I don’t really have a preference but if I had to choose I think this one is a little nicer than the other.

The Food…

Starter

Spaghetti Carbonara  £8.75

On arrival it looked a little of a disappointment, my next thought was why is there that light coloured cheese on it like that?

Another thing I noticed was the pasta was cut, rather than the big long strands…which am sure for some people is fine but for me this was strange. I am used to the normal way where I have to twist, and then eat…..

Flavour wise….not that great. Firstly it used cream and not the normal way, secondly the cheese through this was hmmm

Overall very disappointed, this was not good and I definitely won’t be ordering this again.

Sorry guys

Tonight I was here to attend an event, but I arrived a little early and was very hungry so I thought let’s have a little snack.

This was my first time in this Cafe, and looking around it had a nice look and tonight it had a nice atmosphere.

The Food…

Haggis Bonbons £6.50
With Johnnie Walker Gold label Whiskey Sour Dressing

This was just a little snack as I didn’t want to fill myself up too much, plus I had a very big lunch.

On arrival, this looked nice and also smelled nice and a perfect size for a starter or snack.

This was very nice, the coating was just crispy and no more and the flavours were really good. I could have easily had more, but it was just a snack.

Overall

Overall from my short experience before the event, it was nice and relaxing and the food I had tonight was nice.

Here is a place I would visit again, but this part of the West End I don’t tend to visit too much but if I do I will stop in again and check out the food and drinks.

Tribeca Cafe Bar (Glasgow, West End) : Review

My last visit to Tribeca would probably be around 5 years ago, so I thought its time to return and try the food again.

Just like the last time (from what I remember) we were greeted and shown to a table.

The Food…

Burger

Harlem £10.75
Steak patty topped with chorizo, manchego cheese, prosciutto ham, red pepper aioli served with chimichurri

On arrival, this looked nice and smelled nice so time to taste.

The chips were nice, needed some salt but nice.

The burger was good, not as nice as the description made out as I couldn’t really get too much chorizo taste with this or cheese…

Would I have it again….yeah it was nice.

Today’s visit was good, the service and atmosphere was really nice and the staff very pleasant.

For me I think I will try something else next time, maybe the waffles and bacon mmmm
