Pressing On! Starting a New Workout Routine

We are all aware of the benefits of working out. Whether it’s essential to your mental health during these challenging times or it provides a foundation for you to enjoy your life, starting any new workout routine is one of the best things you could do, but it’s important to start it properly. Whether you are well versed in rubbing and are now looking to make the change to weights or you’ve been strength training for a long time but are now preparing yourself for a marathon, what are the things that we all need to know in order to start a new workout routine effectively?

Assemble the Right Equipment and Prepare Properly

Picking the appropriate training kit is essential based on the activity you have in mind. If you are looking to design a certain fitness program, you have to consider your fitness goals and make sure the routine is well-balanced. Assembling the right equipment is about choosing things that are practical and easy to use. For example, running shoes will help you to minimise injury if you start running. When we prepare for a new workout routine, we’ve got to think about every single aspect, and once we delve deep into the most appropriate workout routines for our fitness level, it will serve us in good stead and ensure that we don’t give up early on in the process.

Assess Your Fitness Level

If you don’t know how fit you are, it’s always a good idea to assess and record your baseline fitness scores so you can measure your progress appropriately. One of the biggest mistakes many people make is going too deep, too fast. If you want to assess your muscular and aerobic fitness, as well as your flexibility and body composition, you need to do a handful of checks including your pulse rate before and after walking 1 mile, how many push-ups you can do at once, your BMI, as well as how far you can reach forward while sitting on the floor with your legs in front. These are things that people may feel too impatient to do. But it’s crucial to measure your baseline fitness before you start because it gives you a far better idea of how well you are doing a month, 6 months, or a year down the line.

Break It Up

You may think that you need to get your workout done as soon as possible so you may attempt to do a week’s worth of exercises in the space of a few days. Your stamina is not about how heavy you lift or how hard you go, it is about building up gradually and being as slow as possible. You need to give yourself the opportunity to recover. If you push yourself too hard, you may feel unwell and inclined to give up. It is important to listen to your body. Taking time off to allow yourself recovery is most important because this is when you will build strength.

Man Behind the Mirror : Teeth Whitening Kit : Review

GIFTED

The guys over at Man Behind the Mirror sent me their teeth whitening kit to try.

I have looked at teeth whitening kits in the past, but never got around to try one….not sure why as it was something that I really wanted to get to brighten my teeth.

I brush regularly and use mouthwash, but still they are never as bright as I would really like them.

This year I also started to reduce my intake of coffee and fizzy drinks like coke, one to try and improve my health and two to help reduce staining my teeth.

ABOUT them

Our at-home Teeth Whitening Kit is designed to visibly whiten your teeth in just 10 minutes, with a proven gel formulation that ensures zero sensitivity.

From £49.95

A SIMPLE 3-STEP WHITENING PROCESS

The Kit

The kit comes in a very nice box which looks really good before you even open it.

On opening its been designed to have two compartments, the top for the gel and the bottom for the device. I found this very cool, and found it very professional.

Getting started

The instruction guide is mega easy to follow, and I had no issues putting it all together and starting with the whitening process.

The two things that you should try and remember is

  1. Brush before using the kit
  2. Avoid dark coloured drinks like red wine, coffee, tea etc..

How I got on

I tried using the daily, but once or twice things got in the way and I forgot but for the most part it was daily use.

Here is a before and after of my teeth.

Not the most Instragramable photo but it does show the difference, and as you can see it did lighten them. Sorry for the lighter and darker pic, it took me a few times to get a clear photo that close.

Its a great product, as I even used this while I was deciding what to watch on Netflix a few times…its so simple to use.

Product Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the kit.

Firstly a big thanks to the guys at Man Behind The Mirror for the kit.

As you have read I had no issues with the kit, easy to use and setup and it did whiten my teeth which you can see from the before and after pic.

As you saw they are lighter, I think I would need a few more months use to get them to the shade I want but it did work! they did make them go a little lighter which is great 🙂

I have no issues recommending this product and for the price its definitely worth it.
