Hyboflask- Water bottle 600ml (Amazon) : Review

GIFTED

  • Color : Black
  • Material Type : Stainless Steel
  • Volume Capacity : 600 ml
  • Brand Name : Hyboflask

The Flask

Firstly I took a look at the packaging, the logo was very cool as the middle line in the H reminded me of a wave. The box also showed me the other colours you can get, but I had went for black.

When I took the Hyboflask out the box, it had a nice protective cover which you could keep on or take off.

To be honest the flask looks good with and without the protective cover.

The Contents

In the box along with the Hyboflask you get :

1 x Bamboo Cap
1 x Drinking Lid and straw
1 x Cup cover
1 x Cleaning Brush
1 x Mountaineering Buckle

The bottle

The top of the bottle has a fold-down straw and secures very tight. The seal around the top of the bottle is also very good, as I have not had any leaks and I shook it around a lot to test.

The Hyboflask has a double-walled exterior with a vacuum seal between the walls. This means your drink will stay at its ideal temperature for hours.

Hyboflask is made from Stainless steel, and the bottle is free from other chemicals that are normally found in plastic bottles e.g. BPA or other toxins.

The flask will fit in standard size cup holders, and even fits in the holders in your car.

Test Drive :

I had to take this bottle for a test drive, as its the only was I can do a proper honest review.

I started with a cold drink, and took it to my work. I decided to leave it till around lunch time to see if it stayed cold and yup it started very cool.

Next day I took a warm coffee to work, and again left it till lunch time to see how it was and yup as expected nice and warm. I will be doing this more often, so I can have a nice coffee at work.

I took it on several walks in the park, and longer walks and again no leaks and a nice cool drink when I needed it.

Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the Hyboflask.

As I said I took the bottle for a test drive.

I have no issues with this bottle, it kept my cold drinks cold and warm drinks warm. I experienced no leaks, which is good as I kept it in my backpack or on its side in my car etc..

If your looking to upgrade your current flask, or to get one that is really good and very cool looking then this is the one for you.

Kwusi box African Snacks Subscription Box : Review

GIFTED

The guys over at Kwusi asked if I would like to try one of their subscription boxes, I said yeah as I have never really tried many African snacks and its always good to try new things.

Kwusi box

I opened the box and wow so many items!!!

I took every packet out and had a good look at them, I only knew of one brand Chika’s as they had recently sent me some snacks to try.

The rest were all new to me which was very cool, as its always good to try new things.

The Snacks

Olu Olu Sweet Yellow Plantain Chips

I started with these.

These looked really good, and smelled really nice. They had a nice crunch to them, and I thought there was a good amount in the packet.

The banana flavour was still there but very subtle, but mmm so good and these were finished very fast.

Safari Peach Fruit Roll

This one looked and sounded very interesting.

I am a big fan of the flavour peach, so I was hoping this wouldn’t disappoint.

I opened this and I had a subtle hint of peach, then I touched it and it reminded me of a childhood sweet.

Next I cut a little off and tasted it.

Very interesting, it had a slightly chewy texture and a slight hint of peach.

Overall it was just ok for me, but my fiancee loved this.

Chikas Sun roasted Red Skin Peanuts

I got some peanuts with my Chika’s snacks, but this one was new to me.

Unfortunately I cant eat nuts, but my fiancee was willing to help me out with this review.

She said “the flavour was really nice, they had a good crunch to them and also one she would purchase again”

Chikas Lightly Salted Wholegrain Rice Crisps

I had these crisps before from Chika’s and they were nice, thin, light and were lightly salted.

For me I could have done with a slightly stronger salt taste, but thats my personal preference.

Love Chin Chin

This looked interesting, I loved the branding of this and the font used.

It said looks crunches like a biscuit, but tastes like cake….how good does this sound!!

It was spot on! these were very cool and I really liked this.

I could have easily had many more packets.

Kwusi Sweet Mix

Who doesnt like a sweet mix, they are cool and fun sized.

Again like most of the brands I had never heard of Tom Tom, but I dug right in and tried both.

The yellow packing was a banana flavour, and the black a mint flavour.

Both were very nice, and guess what! finished very fast.

Rooibos Orange Tisane

I actually tried this one after the herbal one (which is the next one you will read).

For me it had a similar taste, again was very nice and refreshing.

Rooibos Orange Herbal Tisane

I am not a big tea drinker, more coffee but I am always up for trying new things and expanding my tastebuds.

This was actually really nice, it had a nice tea taste with an extra little bit of orange flavour to it.

I sat and sipped this to savour the taste, and overall it was nice and I enjoyed my cup of tea.

If your a tea drinker then you would really like this.

Nestle Pepermint Crisp

Did I save the best till last?

This sounded really good, so I did keep it to last.

WOW WOW this was so nice, the flavour was perfect the crunch was perfect I need to get more of these 🙂

Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the subscription box.

QUARTERPAST Coffee Syrups : Review

GIFTED

The guys over at Quarterpast sent me some of their coffee syrups to try.

The pack they sent me was the Q Coffee Syrups Mixed 250mL (4 Pack)

  • Caramel
  • Salted Caramel
  • Hazelnut
  • Vanilla

About Quarterpast Syrups

Delicious flavours crafted to give your homemade coffees a boost and turn them into café quality drinks you can enjoy everywhere! Make yourself a delicious flavoured coffee:

To Make: Fill 10% of a cup with your favourite QUARTERPAST Coffee Syrup flavour, top the remaining 90% of the cup with piping hot coffee, stir & enjoy!

Quarterpast Caramel Syrup for Coffee

Who doesn’t love caramel? On its own, it’s wickedly tempting. In coffee, it’s irresistible. That deep, rich sweetness really perks things up. Next time you fancy a little something in your coffee, reach for caramel.

I started with this one, and followed the instructions to make my coffee.

Wow this was good!!! I had my coffee taste mixed with caramel and it was nice and sweet, which was perfect as I have a sweet tooth. I actually finished my coffee faster than normal, due to enjoying the taste.

QUARTERPAST Hazelnut Syrup for Coffee

Next time, add hazelnut to your caffeine kick. A favourite in Europe, hazelnut nuzzles up to the flavour notes of coffee perfectly. Sweet, rich and nutty – it’s like liquid biscotti. You’ll love it!

To be honest with you, this is the only one I didnt try as I cant do nuts. So I got my fiancee to review this one for me.

She said that it made her coffee taste like she had real roasted hazelnuts in her coffee, and the flavour was very moreish.

QUARTERPAST Salted Caramel Syrup for Coffee

Enjoy the rich and buttery flavours of caramel perfectly balanced with a pinch of sea salt. Treat yourself every morning with a delicious cup of salty caramel latte!

WOW!!!! now this one is my favourite!!!! my coffee tasted amazing, and I actually had 3 the morning I tried this.

Just like the caramel I finished my coffee’s faster than normal as I was really enjoying the enhanced flavour.

A solid 10/10 for me.

QUARTERPAST butterscotch Syrup for Coffee

Butterscotch Syrup for Coffee is an ideal sweetener for that ideal coffee, just swirl some of this syrup into your drink and let the flavours take you to a sweeter place.

This added a nice subtle flavour to my coffee, and as the description says a nice sweetener. This one was probably my second favourite as it just added a little extra flavour, but keeping the main coffee flavour.

Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the syrups.

Firstly a big thank you to the guys at Quarterpast UK for sending me the coffee syrups.

All these syrups were really good, and did enhance my coffee experience.

My top two were 100% the Salted Caramel, this was the first one finished. My second would have to be the butterscotch, as it just enhanced the coffee but left a nice balanced coffee flavour.

I have no issues recommending these syrups, they are packaged well, taste good and I enjoyed drinking them.
