Cosmo World Buffet (St Enoch Centre, Glasgow) 2022 : Review

Todays Visit

The guys at Cosmo invited me to come to their new location situated in the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow city centre. Its situated in the perfect location to grab a meal then head up to the Vue cinema for a wee movie night.

I have been to their Silverburn Shopping Centre one and it really did change my mind on buffets, as prior to my visit there I really didn’t like buffets as the food was always bland and not really good.

I was looking forward to this visit and set a date and time.

How It Looks

The restaurant’s warm, yellow light exudes a cozy ambiance, but adding dark neon lights, for example, NeonSigns.com’s custom neon lights, would enhance the atmosphere and make it more unique. With the addition of artistic neon lights, the restaurant would transform into a captivating visual experience, especially at night. Customers would be more inclined to visit the restaurant to enjoy not only the food but also the ambiance.

When walking in I was extremely impressed at how lovely and fancy this place was!

The décor was amazing and really gave off that warm, relaxing, and luxurious feeling.

Tonight was very busy, but I managed to take photos where nobody was featured in them, as I don’t like taking pics of others when they are eating.

They also had a robot that took dirty dishes back to a cleaning area, this was very cool and I really liked this idea.

The Food

As you would expect from a world buffet there should be choices from most places around the world.

There were Indian, Chinese, Italian options, etc., and there was a good choice from each section.

I went for a mixed starter, and then Indian main.

The starters I chose were very nice, and I would have them again. The main was much better and I tried the butter chicken and also the sweet and sour chicken.

Both of these dishes had really nice flavour, and I was very impressed with the sweet and sour chicken as it wasn’t too vinegary which I have tasted at other buffets and even restaurants.

I even tried the sushi and again just like everything else tonight it was very fresh and tasty!.

Dessert Time!

Dessert Time! yip there is always room for dessert and I wanted to check out most of what they had on offer at tonight’s visit.

I grabbed a selection and sat down and tasted everything I picked.

My favourite was the Tiramisu but everything I choose hit my sweet tooth perfectly!

Visit Overall

I really enjoyed my visit tonight, I had a great time and really enjoyed all the food that I chose.

The food was just as good as the other branch at Silverburn, packed with flavour, fresh and very tasty!

This is a perfect spot to take a family or a date before going to see a film or after a big shop or both.

Have you been here since its opened? let me know what you thought.

The Delivery

I know I have ordered from here before, and have since the last time using FoodHub app but tonight I wanted to order again from them.

Starters

King Prawn Sesame Toast with Dip

I love a good prawn toast, but some takeaways its either soggy or too crispy and it just puts me right off eating them.

Tonights and just like previous orders, this was perfectly cooked. Packed with flavour and just the right crunch to them.

As you probably guessed these were completely finished.

Spare ribs in Honey Sauce (small)

Ribs plus honey sauce is always the way to go!

The flavour of the ribs, with the honey sauce, is just the best!!! plus when you finish the ribs and if there is still some sauce left you can dip your prawn crackers in it mmmm

Salt & Chilli Crispy Chicken

Something a little different for me.

The smell from this was so so good, and it made my mouth water instantly.

The chicken was nice and tender, and had a lovely slight kick to it and tasted really good!!!

I enjoyed every single bite of this from start to finish.

A solid 5/5

Grilled Chicken with Lemon Sauce

This wasn’t for me, as I couldn’t eat all of the above alone.

I did taste this and here is my thoughts.

For me the lemon chicken again was tender and had a nice flavour. The sauce was nice, not too lemony but still very nice and worked nice together.

V: 15th November 2019

Tonight I needed a little walk first before dinner, as I wasn’t super hungry so I took a wee walk along Argyle Street.

I had heard of a place called Meze Meze opening in the West End and followed them on Instagram, but I didn’t pay attention to where and when…..and guess what I found it and it was just recently opened.

Looking Around

Inside its very nice, on the right side as you enter that is where the food is prepared and cooked and on the left is the tables.

I had no idea what to have tonight, so I thought randomly select something and see what its like.

Main Dish

Yaprak Donner £9.50
A famous Turkish dish 100% pure lamb donner served with fresh green salad

I took my first bite and WOW this was very tasty, perfectly cooked and could be super addictive.

This is all I had this night as I wasn’t mega hungry, but I could have easily had a second one.

Visit Overall :

I was very impressed with tonights food, and the staff were very friendly.

I didnt feel too full, or bloated after this I felt full enough which is good as I hate walking out of places feeling too stuffed.

I am aiming to return to try a few more dishes, so watch this space.
