I have visited here before and really had a nice time with nice food…but the one thing I never really tried was a few of their pizza’s so tonight was time to try one.

The Food…

Pizza

Pancetta e Mozzarella £11.00

Normally I have a tomato based pizza but this sounded nice, and something different to my normal pizzas.

I was very surprised how nice this was, the flavours were really good but the pesto just set it off for me.

The base was nice and thin, and flavours really good I am very glad I tried this.

Yesterdays Lasagna

For me, there is only one Lasagna that is the best, and it’s my mums and to be honest with you I am not just saying that.

I have tried lasagne at a few restaurants and none ever taste as good, so I thought let’s see how here does.

This was nice and tasted great and I would have it again…but sorry guys my mums is still the best!

Patisserie Valerie (Glasgow) : Review

I like visiting Patisserie Valerie every now and then, more so for the afternoon tea but today I decided to try something else.

There are two locations in Glasgow, I don’t really have a preference but if I had to choose I think this one is a little nicer than the other.

The Food…

Starter

Spaghetti Carbonara  £8.75

IMG_0174.jpg

On arrival it looked a little of a disappointment, my next thought was why is there that light coloured cheese on it like that?

Another thing I noticed was the pasta was cut, rather than the big long strands…which am sure for some people is fine but for me this was strange. I am used to the normal way where I have to twist, and then eat…..

Flavour wise….not that great. Firstly it used cream and not the normal way, secondly the cheese through this was hmmm

Overall very disappointed, this was not good and I definitely won’t be ordering this again.
