The Lee Burn (East Kilbride) : Review

V: 14th August 2020

Tonight we visited the Lee Burn as my grandparents wanted to take us out for a meal.

I have been here before but it was ages ago.

The Food

As I said it was ages ago when I was last here, so I couldn’t remember what I had or how good or bad it was.

I recently lost my appetite so I wasn’t too hungry tonight, so I skipped my starter and just went for my main meal.

I didn’t know what to order, so I took a chance on a burger and just randomly selected one.

The Burger

Smothered Chicken Burger £11.99

Golden-fried breaded butter chicken topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, and Brewdog punk IPA BBQ sauce.

Presentation was nice, and I didnt expect as many chips.

The chips were very nice, as I always love skinny fries and they didnt need any salt.

The burger had a really nice flavour, but the cheese seemed to have dried up which was a-shame. It needed some cheese to take away the full crisp bite, or some sauce but overall it was very tasty and filling.

Visit Overall :

Tonight was a nice night with my parents and grandparents.

The atmosphere was good, and we all enjoyed out meals.

It was nice to try somewhere different and also just randomly pick something from the menu.

V: 29th February 2020

** This review was typed up before lock down! Please check with the restaurant if it is open or doing home delivery, and if they are check them out! **

I had to go back to Dennistoun Bar-B-Que as I LOVED the burger I had on my first visit, so this time I went back with my best friend Chris for some burgers woohoo

The Food…

Side

Seasoned Fries : £2.85 (V)

I had these on my first visit and loved them so I had to get them again this time round.

These were seasoned and had a big kick to them tonight, a lot more than my first visit. Don’t get me wrong they were nice, but for me I preferred the slight kick from my first visit.

Main Course :

This was tonight’s burger of choice as I couldnt get the same as last time.

Carnival Burger £7.85 (added Bacon, Caramelised Onions £2.25, Pickle £1.15)

Now how good does that look, and that’s exactly what I thought when my order was ready.

Was this as good as the first time choice? lets find out…

This was another really good burger, packed with flavour and the burger again so tender.

Tullie Inn (Balloch, Loch Lomond, ) : Review

V: 3rd August 2020

Today I took a drive down to Balloch to get some fresh air, and a late lunch come dinner.

I have visited Balloch many times, and I needed to clear my head and eat.

The Food

I have never been in here for food before, only coffee’s so it was going to be interesting to see how good the menu is.

Main Course :

Smoky Joe Burger £12.99
Beef chunk & brisket burger topped with slow cooked beef in a smoky sweet BBQ sauce, melted cheese slice and crispy streaky bacon.

Wow this was a big portion, and the smell was amazing…time to dig in.

I started with the burger, this had a very interesting but nice taste. Every bite was really nice, and the burger was very tender.

The chips were nice and crispy and had a nice taste, unfortunately they were just warm and no more so by the time I was finished my burger the chips were cold but it didn’t bother me too much.
