I have been here before, so it was time to go back and have something else.

Looking around here has a very cool, modern yet relaxing atmosphere and the staff tonight were all very friendly and helpful.

The Food…

I think the last time I was here I had a burger, so it was time to be different tonight.

Main

MACARONI CHEESE WITH YOUR CHOICE OF GARLIC BREAD OR SKINNY FRIES £8.50

Macaroni cheese is one of those dishes that can be either, under cooked, over cooked, bland or very very nice.

This sounded very nice, and I decided to add a few extra toppings just to add some extra flavour.

Firstly lets start with the chips, I LOVE skinny fries any other fries for me are just meh, but skinny mmmm. These were perfectly cooked, nice taste and had a light crisp to them…perfect.

The Macaroni cheese….well this was VERY moreish!!!! The flavours were really nice on its own, and with my additions. It was cooked perfect, and I could have easily had another one.

I am glad I revisited here as I really had an enjoyable night, meal and experience.

Next time I will try the burgers and see if they are as good as I remember.

Hard Rock Cafe Thanksgiving Dinner (Glasgow) : Review

Invited : 26th November 2019

Rock ’n’ roll-themed chain with a high-energy vibe serving burgers & American classics.

I got a wee ping in my inbox asking me if I would like to visit Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow, to try their Thanksgiving menu and I accepted and put it in my calendar.

This sounded very interesting, as I have not had a Thanksgiving meal for a few years now so it would be good to have one again.

Looking Around

I have had Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow, on my list to pop in and try so I was very excited to visit tonight. I have only ever been in the London Hard Rock Cafe, so I was ready to take a look around and enjoy the food.

On entering you go through the Hard Rock Shop and through the back to get to the restaurant, I spotted a few cool things in the shop but I was a good boy and didn’t get anything since its so close to Christmas.

Inside was very cool with lots of memorabilia on the walls, classic tunes playing and had a really funky but nice and relaxing atmosphere.

I was seated at the back, for me this was good as I got a good view of the whole place.

The Food

I was invited here to have Thanksgiving dinner, which if your not familiar with Thanksgiving dinner its basically like your traditional Christmas dinner.

I was given the menu to have a look at, and then asked if they can start preparing it….of course I said yeah! as I was a hungry boy.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Slow roasted turkey breast, roasted fresh vegetables, home-style classic stuffing, creamy sweet potato mash, cranberry sauce finished with a traditional turkey gravy £15.95 (Tonight Free)

This was a good sized portion, and it smelled amazing!!! after many photos and Instagram stories, I finally started.

I tried everything on its own first, to see how it tasted and how well it was cooked.

Let me start with the Brussels sprouts, I normally avoid these guys but I tried them tonight and I was VERY shocked. These had a really nice flavour to them, and nice and soft and guess what? I finished them all…nice ones guys!!!

Everything on this plate was really nice, full of flavour and worked well on its own and together,

Pumpkin Pie £6.50 (Tonight Free)

As I said at the start of this review, I have had Thanksgiving dinner in the past but not for many years. I have had Pumpkin Pie before, so it would be nice to compare them as the one I had in the past was homemade.

This tasted just like I remembered, and I enjoyed it very much.

I have a very sweet tooth so its not a sweet I would order a lot if I saw it on a menu, but it was Thanksgiving and it was the perfect sweet for the night.

Tonight I wanted to take another place off my list, and try somewhere new and here is where I chose.

I have passed here a few times when taking a walk around this area…now it was time to go in.

Looking Around

IMG_7707

Inside has a very cool look, and vibe to it. Tonight was very busy, so it was a little loud with everyone talking over everyone, but I sat over at the window and enjoyed people watching.

The Food…

I really wanted to try something other than a burger and here I spotted did hot dogs, so I looked for one that sounded really good and ordered it.

Main

Jamaican Hot Dog £7.95
Slow cooked pulled pork, bbq sauce, house slaw & Mango Mayo

As soon as it arrived this looked and smelled really good, so it was time to dig in…but where do I start?

I resorted to using a knife and fork, and ohhh this was very good every bite of the hot dog was very very good.

The chips were just ok, needed some salt but thats my opinion.
