La Gioiosa Prosecco Rosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. Brut Millesimato 2021 : Review

The Delivery

The guys over at La Gioiosa asked if I would like to try one of their Proseccos, I said yes and started to have a wee read about them.

I noticed they are from Treviso in Italy, and I have visited Treviso many times when I used to visit Italy so it brought back many nice memories for me.

About :

La Gioiosa represents the tradition of viticulture that belongs to the Moretti Polegato family for generations and is in perfect symbiosis with the wines of the Prosecco, Montello, and Colli Asolani lands.

The grape used for the production of Prosecco is Glera, a typical variety of the northeast of Italy since the Roman age, which makes up at least 85% of the grapes used. The percentage can be supplemented by native Glera Lunga, Verdiso, Perera, Chiaretta grapes, and other types of white grapes determined by rules.

The Prosecco

After a few busy nights, I finally managed to pop it open and pour myself a nice glass.

I love Italian wines, grappa, Lemoncello, and prosecco so I couldn’t wait to try this.

I will say and I know a few will hate me for this but champagne is so overrated! you can easily find a nicer prosecco with much nicer flavors at more than half the price and enjoy drinking it much more…..sorry but it is true.

This prosecco had love fresh and fruity notes to it, and taste wise was light but interesting and had a slight pear taste for me.

There were a nice amount of bubbles, not overpowering and smooth on the palate so as I said was a nice light drink, and so easy to drink.

The finish didn’t last long but overall it was a delightful experience, and I enjoyed every glass I had.

I still have half the bottle so I look forward to another night pouring myself a wee glass or two.

Overall :

Firstly a big thanks to La Gioiosa for gifting me this lovely bottle of prosecco.

Sipping on this at night was a great experience, it’s one of the nicest proseccos I have had in a long time.

If you like prosecco I highly recommend you check these guys out.
