Cinnamon (Cambuslang, Glasgow) 2021 : Review

The Delivery

This was my second birthday dinner, as my first one was a Chinese with my grandparents.

I have been to Cinnamon before, and had a lovely meal inside but at the time of typing this post restaurants are still closed so it was a takeaway.

The Food

Vegetable Pakora £3.45

I love a good vegetable pakora, they are super addictive.

For me these tasted really good, and had a subtle kick to them. They had a good crispiness to them and a nice texture.

They were finished very fast, plus the dip with these just really adds to the flavour.

My Rating :

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Chicken Pakora £4.95

I don’t tend to order chicken pakora a lot, but tonight I felt like it as its been a while.

For me these were just ok, the coating wasn’t as crispy as I would have liked it, and the chicken wasn’t as tender as I have normally had it.

Flavour wise it was nice.

My Rating :

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Peshwari Naan £2.95

Peshwari Naan is a massive fav of mine, as its got the great naan taste with that extra sweetness to it.

I have noticed the inside of a Peshwari can vary, sometimes its a pinkie colour and sometimes no colour. I don’t know why this is, unless its colouring?

Anyway, this was perfect it had a good amount of sweetness to it and the lovely naan taste.

Perfect!

My Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Chicken Ceylonese Korma £7.95
Prepared with creamed coconut milk, mild spices & pureed tomatoes

I love a good Korma, as you have probably guessed its due to the smooth creamy sweet taste.

Tonight I opted to try this one, and see what the Ceylonese way was like.

This had a really nice creamy taste, but it had a kick to it I wasn’t expecting.

For me it was nice, but that kick wasn’t for me as it killed the nice flavours but I am glad I tried it as its good to try new things.

My Rating:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Overall :

Overall another really nice meal from Cinnamon, every thing was cooked really well, full of flavours and the delivery time was spot on.

I am glad I tried a different Korma as I said, but next time I will try something new for me and see how that is.

Great Peshwari Naan 🙂

My Rating :

Rating: 4 out of 5.
