Another month and more new rum to try woohoo
This Months Box
This is a great size, and looks great on arrival.
Inside you have your 3 rums to try, plus an information leaflet to tell you about each rum and its tasting notes.
The Contents
As I mentioned a moment ago you get 3 rums to try, and this was box 001 and these were the ones in this months box.
The Rums
Diplomatico Selección de Familia
ABV : 43%
Style : Dark 12yrs
This one was one of my two favourites in this months box.
The nose was thick with toffee for me and a little vanilla. The tasting was smooth, not much burn, and had a nice aftertaste.
I have added a bottle of this to my Amazon wishlist as I really loved this one.
Santa Teresa Ron Selecto
ABV : 40%
Style : Dark, 10yrs
This had not a great nose for me, and that unfortunately continued with the taste.
It had a good burn to it, but overall I was disappointed with this one….but this monthly rum is great to learn what you like and try new rums.
Pampero Blanco
ABV : 37.5%
Style : White, 4yrs
I have not really tried many white rums, I think probably one but that was more than 6 years ago so I couldn’t remember what it was called or if I liked it.
The nose on this was so good, toffee and sugar came over for me….I started to get excited as that was a good start.
The taste ohhh so so good, it was smooth and had really nice flavours of toffee and brown sugar for me and ohhh so addictive.
I have added this one to my Amazon Wishlist to as I aim to buy this in the future.
Overall :
If you like rum or fancy trying new rums then check them out!
This box was much better than the first for me, as there were ones that I added to my Wishlist with the intention of purchasing in the future.
I think this is a great idea, as I get to try and learn about the rums each month. I can’t wait to see what they have planned for box number 3.
