Mama’s Kitchen Takeaway (Glasgow, West End) : Review

GIFTED

Mama’s Kitchen messaged me recently and asked if I would like to try one of their Indian Street Food Boxes.

I couldn’t wait for this to arrive, as they teased me with a photo and it looked it amazing and my mouth started to water.

They were kind enough to bring it to my flat, and I got a chance to speak to Mama’s Kitchen.

The girl is lovely, bubbly and very friendly…I am blessed being a blogger and meeting so many nice people and most I have met I have kept in touch with which is really nice.

Now it was time to eat

Street Food Box

Firstly the presentation was amazing, I loved how it was delivered and the layout.

How good does this look, everything has a place and its really pleasing on the eye.

It consists of the following:

Chickpea Salad

I started with this.

To begin with this looked very eye catching, the colours and presentation.

This was very nice, it had lovely flavours and I liked the mix of soft and crunchy.

Spicy Garam Masala Potatoes

I loved the presentation of the potatoes, the little boat….again they have really thought well about presentation.

I am not a big potato fan but these had a very nice flavour, and they were perfectly cooked.

I ate a lot of these 🙂

Chicken Pakora

I am a big chicken pakora fan, but depending where you go these differ from the taste, the crispiness of the batter etc etc

These were perfect! the batter just crispy, the flavour was really good and the chicken was very tender….just perfect!

I could have easily had more of these.

Spiced onions and poppadoms

What can you say about spiced onions and poppadoms? they are the perfect nibble, starter etc and these were really nice.

Lamb Mince and Pea Samosas

These were big and looked good, and smelled really good.

These had a nice little kick to them, and tasted really nice. They reminded me of Cornish pasties, if that helps give you an idea what they are like, but with a nice kick.

Tandoori Chicken Wraps

At first I thought its just a wrap, and then I took a bite!!

I took a bite and this was a game changer, the flavour was amazing!!! every bite was just yummmm so much so I had the majority of the wraps…oops!

This was my fav 🙂

Fruit Chaat

And theres more…

There is always room for a little more, and this was a nice end to tonights meal.

The mix of fruits etc plus the sauce at the bottom this was a nice ending.

Overall :

Note : Just because this was gifted, that has not influenced my thoughts in any way. The above is a 100% honest review of the food.

Firstly a big thank you to Mama’s Kitchen, the food presentation and meeting you were amazing.

The presentation is amazing, its something we spoke about for a while after we had finished the meal. The food was also really good, and my fav was that wrap….mmmm I could have easily had many more of those and the Chicken Pakora.

Everything was presented nicely, tasted amazing and I highly recomend you order from them. Just visit their instagram page and send them a message.

I have now added Mama’s Kitchen to my top spots page for takeaways!!
