Its been a while since my last visit here, and today I was going back with friends for a catch up so I wanted to try something different to what I had last time.

The Food…

I really enjoyed the food last time, so let’s see if it’s as nice this time around.

Starter

Beef & sesame burger £9.95
red Thai ketchup, aged Comte, chilli, basil & coriander

On arrival, this looked so good and the smell was just as good!!! my mouth instantly started watering.

From my first bite to my last this was perfect, the flavours, textures and size…loved it!!!

I asked the waitress about this and from her description it sounded good, so I had to give it a shot.

OH MY GOD!!!!! this is amazing!!!! I could have easily had this dish again but I was being good.

If you visit here you HAVE TO HAVE THIS!!!!!!!!

Main Course

milk chocolate bread & butter pudding, rum & raisin ice cream £6.95

I have not had a bread and butter pudding for ages so it was time to try it here.

On arrival, this looked very nice and smelled nice to…

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with this, it lacked flavour for me and tasted more like a big bland pancake….this could be just my taste buds so don’t let this put you off trying it.

Overall

Overall my second visit was more YUM than meh…I loved my burger and those fries mmmm but the pudding was just so so.

I can’t wait to return to have those chips and try other dishes.

Charcoals (Glasgow) : Review

Charcoals have always been my favourite Indian Restaurant in Glasgow, but since I have to visit many places or you would get bored with the same restaurant review I can’t go back to my top spots as often as I would like.

Finally, I got the chance to go back 🙂

The Food…

Since its been a while I didn’t mind if I ordered the same as last time, or something I always order but I thought I will see if I can find something different.

Starter

Lahori Fish Pakora £4.95
spicy fillet coated with gram flour and fried

Charcoals Glasgow Lahori Fish Pakora

I have had these before but not sure how long ago, so I thought let’s have them again and see how they are now.

These were very nice and very light to eat, the sauce added to the flavour.

Main Course

Kofta Curry £10.95

Charcoals Glasgow Kofta Curry

I think its been ages!!! since I had this last and couldn’t remember if this was a dish I liked or thought was just ok so it was time to try it again.

This was very nice, the textures of the meatballs were nice and the sauce had a slight kick.

I would have this dish again, as it was very nice and the perfect amount of kick for my weak tastebuds.

EatGrub Box : Review

I am always willing to try most things, well at least once and I was seeing more and more people were turning to alternative snacks.

One alternative snack that stood out was Crickets, yip you read that right.

I found the company EatGrub and thought lets give it a try and see what all the fuss is about.

The box…

The box arrived and I was mega interested to see what I got, and more intrigued as to how these tasted.

Ok so this was interesting, 3 packs and 3 protein bars…they sounded nice so I guess it was time to taste.

The Taste…

Firstly visually they don’t look very appetising but I grabbed a handful and went for it.

hmm honestly not as bad as I thought they would be, the flavour was nice and the texture is crunchy.

I did finish all 3 packets, but my advice would be to have a drink with them as they are very dry.

Overall

Overall yeah these are not as bad as they sound, and taste ok but very dry to eat.

Would I get them again? hmm yeah but I think I will be trying other stuff first.

If you want to be brave and try an alternative snack why not give these a go.
