Another new place for me to check out.

Before Jojo’s it used to be Obu Pan Asian, which I really liked and would visit every now and then….but for some reason, its now gone and Jojo’s is now here.

So it was time to check it out and see what it was like.

Jojo has kept the same look as Obu, but added their own little touches here and there.

Staff were very welcoming and showed me to my table.

Tonight I spotted they did a tapas menu, which meant I could order a few things and get to see what they were like instead of just one item.

The offer was 5 dishes plus a dessert for £19 great value and I couldn’t wait to pick what to eat.

The Food…

Since it was tapas they just arrived at the table as soon as they were ready, so I am glad I was at a big table as I really needed the space.

Roti Canai

I started with this as it was small and light, and I knew I had a few dishes ahead of me.

If you have had this in another restaurant, then you know what it’s like. The easiest way to describe this is like a pancake.

Overall this was nice and I would have it again.

Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup

IMG_2225.jpg

I am not really a soup person, for me, soup is an older generation thing….but I do occasionally like a Chicken and Sweetcorn soup.

This was very nice and just as nice as I have had it from other restaurants or takeaways. If you like this soup, then you will like it here to so do check it out.

Salt and Pepper Squid

This is a must try for me when I go to a new Chinese restaurant, and depending on where you go its either done very bad (too chewy) or perfect.

Tonight it was perfect and very nice, this is another dish I would have again.

Shredded Crispy Chicken

OK so as you all know this is my main dish when I go to a Chinese restaurant, I am MEGA fussy when it comes to this as there is only one place in Glasgow that does it perfectly.

Visually it looked nice, and it smelled really nice so it’s now down to the taste…

This was very nice, not as good as Lychee but closer than most of the other places I have tried.

Yasai Gyoza

I wouldn’t normally have this but I thought let’s give it a shot.

For me this was ok, I am not sure I would order this again mostly due to it’s not my style and needed more flavour for me.

Overall

Overall my first visit here was good, the food was nice and the service was good.

The removal of some finished plates on the table, at the time of eating, would have been better as the table was a little cramped due to the number of plates on it.

Would I go back? yeah, I can’t fault the food I really enjoyed it and I liked the small plates idea.
