I don’t tend to go for Spanish a lot when I eat out, to be honest, I really don’t know why it just tends to be Italian, Chinese or Indian…

I was walking around the West End today and saw a sign advertising this restaurant, so I thought let’s walk up to see what it looks like.

On entering, it looked very nice, and everyone looked very relaxed….so I opted to stay and have dinner.

The Food…

They recommend that you order a few dishes, as they are tapas and small…plus you can always order more if you’re still hungry.

Tapas

Chorizo a la sidra (GF) £6.00
Chorizo in cider

These I have to start by saying come looking like this, normally they are finely sliced but now was the time to taste.

These were the best Chorizo I have had, and I really enjoyed them plus the sauce….mmm perfect!

Albondigas de ternera caseras £6.00
Homemade beef meatballs

This for me looked a good portion size and smelled really good so I couldn’t wait to try them.

From start to finish these were cooked perfect, and full of flavour and very easy and light to eat.

Patatas: bravas o ali-oli (V GF) £4.50
Fried potatoes with spicy sauce or alioli

Again another very good sized portion.

Hmm for me these were a little bland, the sauce did help add that little flavour.

For me just a little too bland so I am not sure I would order this dish again.

Croquetas de morcilla £5.00
Black pudding croquettes

This was very nicely presented, and very nicely prepared.

Basically, the haggis was turned in to a puree, so the texture was not what you expect but wow this is so good.

Crema Catalana £5.00
The original creme brulee

This looked very nice when it was placed on the table, and one of my fav desserts.

This was very nice, and I could have easily had seconds.

Elena’s Blackberry and Thyme Sparkle £5.00

This cocktail was recommended by the staff tonight, so I thought let’s give it a go.

This was a very easy cocktail to drink, and one that was very very nice.
