The guys at Revolution were kind enough to send me an invite, to come along and have dinner.  Revolution was on my list to try ever since it opened, so I accepted their lovely invite.

On entering I took a good look around.

This was really nice inside, very bright, open and a nice design everyone I looked at were all happy and having a nice time.

I was then shown to my seat…

The Food…

I didnt want to go overboard since I was invited and waste food, so I skipped a starter and looked right at the burgers.

Instantly one caught my attention and I thought, this is the one for me!!!!

Burger

The Smoke King £n/a tonight…..(Normally £12.75)
Three beef patties layered with nacho cheese, loaded with smoky creamed corn, streaky bacon, caramel BBQ sauce, chorizo ketchup and crispy fried onions. Served under a cloud of applewood smoke in a sesame brioche bun, with a large scoop of skin-on fries. #SMOKEKING

This arrived like the photo above, and I was told to watch carefully as the waitress lifted the glass cover. This was a very interesting idea, plus added a little fun to the food.

WOW was my instant thought when the burger was presented, and also “I dont think dessert will be happening tonight” 🙂

I tried lifting this with my hands, but my mouth wasnt big enough….so I fell back to using the old knife and fork.

MMMM MMMM MMMM MMM MMM!!!! this was really really good! every mouthful from start to finish was mmmm

I highly recomend you try this!!!! and more so with a knife and fork 🙂

Portion Size : 5
Flavour : 5
Presentation : 5
Value for Money : n/a tonight

Dessert

Bombshell Brownie £n/a tonight…..(Normally £4.95)
A heavenly explosion of chocolate brownie bites, salted caramel chocolate sauce, golden honeycomb chunks and rich chocolate ice cream, sprinkled with popping candy. #LOVEFOOD

This arrived on the table, then the waitress set the sparkler alight.

At first I thought the ice cream was covered in nuts, which I cant take but then I noticed it wasnt nuts but what was it?…..it was poping candy woohoo

This was really nice, and yes I did finish it after that big burger.

My only issue and its a personal one…..I could have done with more chocolate sauce 🙂

Overall

Firstly a big thanks to Revolution for my invite, and for a very nice evening.

Overall I am very impressed with tonight, the staff were lovely and helpful with all my questions…the food well WOW amazing and I cant wait to have that burger again 🙂

I looked at their cocktail list and really liked the sound of most, so my next visit I will try more food and a few cocktails.

For me Bread and Butter now have burger competition!!!!!!! this was an amazing burger!!!!

Spanish Wine & Tapas with the Glasgow School of Wine Event (Glasgow) : Review

36 Cambridge Street
Glasgow G2 3HN, UK

Tonight I was invited back to try one of the Glasgow School of Wine’s other events, tonight was Spanish wines with tapas.

Tonight was held in a different location from my other, this time the Hilton. The Glasgow School of Wine will use both locations, to host their events so do check the details if you’re going.

On arrival again I noticed some paper and a pen on the tables, so I knew what was coming…..wonder how well I would do this time round.

Just like the last event, I attended the Glasgow School of Wine (Posh vs Plonk) there were several glasses on the table in front of me with white and red wine.

…but this time round there were tapas to the side, and they looked very good but I was good and kept them for the wines.

And it starts…

From the start to the end of the night we went through each wine, and the tutor was telling a little history and the tastes and what tapas matched the types of wines.

IMG_0620.jpg

This was very fun as I got to hear more about where the wine came from, and what colour of wine to pair with my food.

There were some winners tonight with the wine selection for me, and at some point, I will be trying them at home.

Overall

This is a very fun and educational event, again I went in not knowing anything about Spanish wines or the tastes. I came out knowing some information on the wines, and have a few favourites from tonights tasting that I would buy.

Check these guys out www.glasgowwineschool.com as I will definitely be doing another course or two.

Thanks again to everyone at the School for my invite.

Cheers

My first week at the Gym : No pain no gain…so they say

gym-546138_960_720.jpg

Gym Name: Fit4Less

My Gym Stuff :

  • Basic running trainers
  • Shorts
  • T-shirt
  • AppleWatch

Well, this is an interesting venture for me, as normally you would find me horizontal watching Netflix.

So I decided to join the gym, as I wanted to tone up as being a food blogger is slowly taking its toll around the midsection…so I thought let’s get rid of it before it makes a full-time appearance.

Joining a gym is a scary experience as it’s new territory, and you start thinking what will everyone think when they see me.

To be honest, this is the feeling, but the reason the people inside the gym look at you really is just to see if they know you.

The gym I joined is my local gym, mostly due to its price and location as the ones in town for me are too costly…and if I did a pay as you go I wouldn’t keep it up so I opted for monthly payments.

Thoughts…

I managed to meet a nice PT there and he showed me around, and how to use some of the machines.

I then told him what I wanted to achieve during my time at the gym, so I looked around and followed his advice.

He told me to start with 3 sets of 10 on several machines for the first month, then after that every month increase the weight to the next step keeping 3 sets of 10.

For me this sounded good, as I knew I didn’t want to go all in and hurt myself then have a break and then not come back so this sounded good to me.

Overall…

So I won’t be showing a half-naked photo of me in my current body look, as it’s been done too many times with many different people but I will keep you posted on how I do…plus I don’t want to put you off your food.

For me the first week was good, granted at nights my upper body would be sore and waken me but no pain no gain right?

At home, I will be doing the weights and crunches, and the rest at the Gym. I have also made a few changed to my diet….a little. I will only have an alcoholic drink once a week max, and also no in-between snacks….also I have started to take water to replace any fizzy drinks.

Let’s see how this goes 🙂
