I had heard about the opening of this a good few months prior to officially opening, and it sounded like it would be a good one to try so I added it to my list to visit.

After many weeks I finally took a visit….

Last week (At time of typing this) I had heard from someone that they visited, and liked it but found it MEGA costly but I always listen but wait till I visit and make my own mind up.

Mezzidakia is the sister restaurant to Chakoo Bombay Cafe and Topolabamba, both I like so I couldn’t wait to try the food here.

On entering the inside has a very funky design, visually it is closer to Chakoo than Topolabamba.

The Food…

Its tapas style so you have to order a few dishes….well you don’t have to but that’s recommended.

I didn’t really know what to order, so I asked the waitress tonight to recommend some of the more popular dishes so I decided to try them.

Dishes

Feta Saganaki (V) £5.95
Greek feta in filo pastry, chilli honey and sesame seeds

This was a really nice dish, one that I can’t fault in any way as it was full of flavour and really nice.

The pasty was just crisp enough, and then you had the feta taste and was just perfect.

This was one that the waitress recommended tonight, so a big thanks to her for this as I would have this again.

Biftekia Gemista £5.50
Greek herbed burgers with warm feta filling, tzatziki

Again another really nice tasty dish, but they were very small in size (yup I know tapas small dishes but maybe a little bigger would have been better….for me anyway).

The burgers worked well with the sauce and own their own, really nice flavours.

Greek Skinny Fries £1.95

Overall

This is a hard one, to sum up, the service was very good! the staff very friendly!

The food was very very tasty!!, but the cost of the dishes…….for me maybe just a little too costly for the size of portions. My girlfriend got the Moussaka and it was very small, but again mega tasty!

I know of another two restaurants that are similar style of food, and the portion sizes are bigger and about the same cost. If here did an order 3 dishes for £13 that would be perfect, but for me anyway the cost of some dishes are maybe £1 or £2 too much.

As I said the food here is very very nice, so please do pop in and try here.
