I had heard so many good things about BRGR, that I added it to my list. After many months of sitting on my to visit list….I finally visited.

BRGR’s new Glasgow restaurant is situated where Smoak used to be, not to be confused with Smoak BBQ. Its a small premises but just big enough to make it feel cosy, and welcoming.

On arrival we were seated at the window, looking about BRGR havn’t really done too much inside to change the existing look.

After a nice welcoming and asked to order I waited for the food to arrive…

The Food…

Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger £6.50
Lettuce, Pickle, Pink Onion, BRGR Sauce, Blue Cheese and Bacon

On arrival the burger was wrapped in tin foil, similar idea to Five Guys.

After taking two bites out of it, I noticed something missing….the bacon! So I sat back and looked over to where the staff were standing (At the main counter).

I sat for around 10 to 15 mins, and not once did any member of staff look over at my direction as they were chatting with each other…due to this I decided just to eat the burger while it was still warm.

The burger was OK, and the blue cheese was nice…but overall it was just an OK burger.

Buffalo Fries £3
Topped with Blue cheese and Franks Sauce

The chips arrived in a cardboard box, and when I opened it it looked and smelled nice.

After a few mouthfuls the amount of sauce that was over them, was FAR too overpowering!!! the chips were swimming in the sauce!!

Orio Milkshake £4

IMG_6492This was the best part of tonight’s meal, the milkshake was very good, thick and had a good flavour.

Overall

Service tonight for me (remember its my experience, as I have heard very good reviews) was not good, nobody came round to see if the food was OK and when I needed attention I didn’t get any.

I mentioned to the manager that it was missing the bacon, and they took 10% off the bill which was a very nice gesture.

Overall my first visit will probably be my last, nothing clicked tonight even my friend who went with me felt exactly the same about the whole experience.

Sorry guys
