On my recent walks to the West End from Glasgow Centre, I have passed here many times but never thought I should give it a visit…probably the main reason is its in an area that I don’t tend to spend a lot of time in…more actually within the centre than heading out….maybe thats why.

Today I did take a visit and I am glad I did.

On entering we were greeted and told that there wasn’t a table ready, but it would only be around a 10min wait which is fine. While waiting I had a look around, the restaurant was very busy and the smells were very good.

The Food :

Cheesy Seekh Kebab £4.25
Seekh kebabs mixed with soft melting cheese

I asked the waiter what were the most popular dishes for starters, and he recommended a few including this so I decided to opt for this and see what it was like.

This was a little spicy for me (but my spicy is probably ok for most people), but the flavours were amazing. I did feel that the cheese flavour didn’t come over too much, as the spices in the kebab were a little more overpowering.

For a starter this was a good size, I think if this had one more kebab it would have been too much and I really enjoyed it.

Chicken Korma £8.95

Any Indian restaurant I visit I have to on my first visit try the Korma, this is my favourite dish and if they don’t do it well then I won’t go back so

On arrival for this looked a little too yellow, so I was very hesitant as normally it’s not as yellow and more creamy looking.

Along with the Korma we ordered the Family Garlic Naan, I didn’t know what size this was till it arrived and OH MY GOD yup its a family sized one so I was glad I was hungry

Family Garlic Naan £4.45

Glass to scale.

So it was time to dig in and try the Korma.

The Garlic Naan was very nice, just as nice as I have had in other Indian restaurants and yes it was to share before you ask (am not really that greedy to have one to myself).

The Chicken Korma was very nice and creamy, but its downfall for me was not much coconut flavour which you normally get (but this could be my sweet tooth).

Overall :

Overall my first visit here was good, I enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

If I was to return I would only have a normal Naan size and flavour, or take rice instead as that was a BIG naan. The waiter tonight was very helpful, he explained everything and very attentive so I would like to say a big thank you to him.

I was very shocked at the cost of tonights meal, this was cheaper than I had expected so I was pleasantly surprised due to the amount we ordered plus the size of the naan.

My one main complaint here would be the seats, for me not that comfy and were just too soft.
