I have not been to Silverburn in a good few years, and at that point there wasn’t a lot of choice when it came to food options.
Today one stood out from the rest and its was Thaikun.
I had never heard of here before so I was looking forward to giving it a shot, as I do like my Thai food.
The Food :
Pangag Curry (Chicken) £10.50 with Coconut Rice £1 (extra upgrade)
A creamy red curry sauce with palm sugar and basil
I just took a chance with this as I had never heard of it before, and hoped it wasn’t going to be too spicy for me.
On arrival it was presented nicely, I liked the bowl the curry came in.
This was so good!!! it wasn’t too spicy, the curry was nice and a little sweet and combined with the Coconut Rice a nice sweet curry.
I would have this again!!!! my only issue was the portion size maybe a little too small for me but hey that leaves room for dessert.

Mango Sticky Rice £5.25
A Thai classic
I didn’t really know what to have for dessert as there were 3 options I could have selected.
I opted for this since it said it was a Thai classic and hoped it would be nice.
I was a little disappointed with this, don’t get me wrong it was nice but not much flavour for me. I got bored with the taste half way through and left it.
You might like this so do try it, but for me a little bland on the flavour.

Overall :
Overall it was a mixed visit, I loved my main course but the dessert didn’t do it for me.
Next visit I will try some other dishes, and another dessert.
Both staff and service was good tonight, and I learned that this is the sister company of Chaophraya which is another one of my favs for Thai.
