I have had Bucks Bar on my list to visit for a while, as I heard a few people say it does amazing chicken and also seen this on social media sites.

On entering its a little dark, but has a nice cosy feel to it. You can sit at tables or booths, and the decor was very nice.

Before going please do note that the menu is VERY chicken heavy, so if your not a fan of chicken maybe this place isn’t for you.

The Food :

Salt and Chilli Chips £3.00
Chinese takeaway style

These for me where nice but not very “Chinese Takeaway Style”, I have had this style of chips from many and these were not close.

They were more just chilli style chips, as the salt was a bit lacking for me.

Chicken and Waffles £8.95

This didn’t disappoint.

The waffle was soft and fluffy, and the chicken was tender and the coating well seasoned and crispy. The chicken had no bones, so this was good.

My only issue was I could have done with a little more maple syrup to add, but hey that’s just me and my sweet tooth kicking in.

Overall

My first was overall good, I enjoyed the food and had a nice time.

Tonight when I visited there was a pub quiz, am not the type of person that likes these. I would prefer to sit and chat to whoever I am with. This for me put a little damper on the atmosphere for me, but then again there wasn’t much before it even started.
